We are proud to introduce our new foster program! This program is for the residents here that are a year old and older. Fosters would have the dog transported to them wherever they may be. We pay for all food and routine vet care. Fosters are never obligated to keep the pet, but if they decide to adopt, the adoption donation will be waived. We are now on Twitter!! Now you can see what your donations help us do on a daily basis. Debra will be posting tweets throughout the day. There are a lot of funny things that go on daily, but be advised that there will be sad situations as well. We just want you to see the good and the sad that is a rescue. Golden "S" Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit canine and equine rescue and sanctuary. We provide rehabilitation and sanctuary for horses, dogs, and other small animals. WE ARE HERE FOR ALL NEGLECTED OR ABUSED ANIMALS, NOT JUST THE PRETTY OR PERFECT ONES THAT WOULD BE EASY TO FIND HOMES. EVERY ANIMAL DESERVES A SAFE, LOVING FOREVER HOME. WE TAKE TREMENDOUS PRIDE IN REHABILITATING, TRAINING AND FINDING HOMES FOR THE ANIMALS OTHER "RESCUES" REFUSE TO TAKE!
Our Special Needs Pets
We are proud to welcome Aqua, our white Boxer who is deaf. We are now teaching her sign language. She is very intelligent and is picking up the commands very quickly. She is adorable, sweet and quiet. We also have just taken in Charlie, a four month old, Old English Sheepdog who is deaf and near sighted. He will be learning with Aqua.If you have a special needs animal in need of training please contact us. We may be able to help. If you think you may be able to provide a home for either of these special pets, please contact us.
Programs
We are proud to announce the following community assistance programs:
RECESSION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
We will list pets and assist pet owners in distress who may lose their home due to the economic conditions. There is no charge for this and we will help facilitate transport to foster or permanent homes for these babies.
FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
Any dog owner who loses their job due to the recession and needs help feeding their dog can contact us for a FREE 10-15lbs bag of food to help. Email us for details. We hope we can help.
