We are a Golden Retriever Rescue who loves the breed. We all have Goldens and understand what it takes to live with them. We call them the Velcro dog. If you don't want a dog who needs to have your attention, love and to serve you, then this breed is not for you. .
We are lucky to have kennels and veterinarians in our area that agree with us about helping with the Golden Retriever breed, so our dogs are located within a couple of miles of each other. The vets treat our dogs as if they were their own.
Adopting a friend
J&L GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE is now sistered with SUNSHINE GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE OF CONNECTICUT. Our group will work to save and rehome as many golden and golden mixes as we can. We will do a home visit to see where our rescued dog will be and how your family interacts with the dog. Also, we look to your vet for a referral, to aid us in the knowledge that your care for this animal will continue after their placement. When we adopt out our Goldens to their new homes, they have everything as in shots, spayed or neutered, heartworm treatment if positve and any other care that is required.
