Gods Creatures Rescue Service is in our 5th year and our make shift kennels (pens) are in rough shape. We need to get new kennels for the safety of our rescued babies. I have drawn up plans of what would be awesome for housing our rescues. Most all the animals are kept at my home. I have done some pricing of supplies needed to build the kennels. The privacy panels are going to run $450.00 thats 18 panels @ $25.00 each. The concrete blocks are $1200.00 thats 600 Blocks @ 2.00 each. Also needed is a 60' x 7' concrete slab, 13 - 6' x 2' chain link gates, 10 - 5' x 4' chain link panels with a 2' gate, 3 - 5' x 6' chain link panels with a 2' gate, 1 - 6' x 10'chain link panel. 40 - 2 x 4's and 20 - 4 x 8 sheets of roofing tin. This is what is needed to make a 13 kennels. 3 - 6x5 with 8x6 private yard, 10 4x5 with 8x4 private yard. All 13 kennels will connect to 3 separate play yards, I will use existing chain link panels I currently have to make the play yards all that is needed is 1 more panel. Jenna came to us severely skinny and badly mistreated. Never in our wildest dreams did we have any idea she was caring 7 beautiful beagle babies. But 4 weeks later they arrived. All but 1 of Jennas babies have been placed in wonderful homes. Jenna needs help now. She is gaining weight and looking good, however this sweet girl has Heart Worms. Please help us raise the funds to have her treated so she can get ready for her new home. She is very sweet and just still a little shy until she gets to know you. But once you have her trust she is a talker, she will just talk your ear off. PLEASE HELP US HELP JENNA. UPDATE..11-5-2009 Jenna was spayed today and and is done with her heartworm treatment she is ready to go to her new home, she is bashful but very sweet.
Tanner is a very sweet boy who managed to escape the rope he was tied with where he was obviously was being starved. The wondered to Tanner Medical center where a group of ladies found him to be a wonderful dog. I am completely full so one of the ladies agreed to foster him until he gets his forever home. Today he got a much needed flee bath shots wormed and tested Negative for heart worms. E mail me today if you would like to come meet this sweet boy.
Please help support our rescue. It cost on average $100.00 - $150.00 weekly to feed all our critters. Then there is the cost of Shots, spay & neuters, heart worm testing, heart worm prevention and treatment, flee baths and flee prevention. This is for the easy ones. There are the ones that come in with skin conditions that require a series of dips and medications, and the ones that have been hit by a car or injured in other ways, this requires x-rays surgery and usually extended stays at the vet. The cost can be tremendous at times. Any small amount will help. $20.00 will buy 50 lbs of dog food. If you would like to make a donation you can do it on PayPal to gcrs@hughes.net.
We are a NON-PROFIT rescue group. Most all animals here have been pulled from Death-Row only because their time was up. Their forever homes are out there somewhere and they deserve the chance to be found no matter how long it may take. Would we Put to Death children in foster homes and orphanages at 5 years of age because their forever family had not come along. Certianly Not. It is no different with these sweet babies. And they only get 7 days at most places. What kind of chance is that? Jeremiah 27:5~ With My great power and outstretched arm, I made the earth and its people and the ANIMALS.... 1 Timothy 4:4 ~ For EVERY creature of God is good, and NOTHING to be refused, if it be recieved with thanksgiving. A rescued animal is the most thankful creature alive. A kind word or a pat on the head will get you unconditional love. Proverbs 12:10~ A righteous man cares for the needs of his animals.. All the animals have been checked for temperment, kids, cats, other dogs will also be in this temperment check and you will be informed if there are any things your future sweet baby may not do well with. Any cats or kittens will be inside adoptions ONLY. At 4 to 6 months we will come out to do a "Happy Tails" check on you and your new Sweet Baby. And if allowed Pictures of your family with them to post on our web sight. Any donations will be appreciated....dog food, cat food, treats, news paper, old blankets or towels, dog houses, fenceing, crates, kennels, carriers, dog beds, cat litter, Hay, Sweet Feed, advantage or frontline, food bowls, printer paper, stamps, envelopes, collars, leashes, "TOYS", any monetary donations are accepted and we love gift certificates to pet stores and office supply stores. If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our animals you can call for a list of what we have available. 678-463-9131. I can not take in owner surrendered animals or strays. I do not have the funding for this. Call your local Humaine Society or Animal Shelter. Thank you for your support. And remember help control our pet population have your pets spayed or netured. Save a life!!!! Adopt a shelter animal......DO NOT buy from breeders or pet stores.
| We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. |
