Fur the Love of Paws is getting ready to turn 3 years!!!
Fur the Love of Paws is a Charitable, 501c3 organization started by a group of dedicated animal lovers, with a combined 25+ years of rescue experience, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals. Currently being operated by volunteers and foster homes, our goal is to provide a shelter for homeless, neglected and unwanted cats and eventually dogs and to open a center to provide sanctuary for animals where euthanasia is never an option for a healthy animal.
We are working tirelessly to raise funds for a new facility to operate in!
By opening a facility without having to rely on foster homes, we will be able to greatly increase the number of pets we can help. We will be able to offer shelter to those animals that may need some extra time before they are adoptable, and offer sanctuary for those who may never be ready.

Who/Why We Are
We are a not for profit, non-euthanizing cat (and eventually, dog) rescue/sanctuary. The three founders who started our organization have a combined 25 years of animal rescue experience. As fate would have it, we all ended up working with the same group, and as time went by, we learned that there are many more animals in desperate need of homes than the already overcrowded shelters can handle. As a consequence, thousands of animals are euthanized each year in Maryland alone, simply due to lack of space in shelters. So we decided to volunteer our time and start our own rescue organization, not only for the extreme need, but for our unconditional love of animals. Fur the Love of Paws...Our Purpose
* To rescue and provide shelter, food, medical care and compassion for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted pets. To eventually re-home these pets into loving families.*To support and conduct educational and informational activities to increase public awareness of animal overpopulation, neglect/abuse and proper pet care.
* To increase awareness of the benefits of animals in our society and personal lives.
Our Future Goals
*To provide educational/service learning opportunities for both youth and adult groups in all aspects of animal behavior and care, Either on site, or in schools, etc.*To provide a loving, permanent home/sanctuary for geriatric, handicapped or otherwise less adoptable pets at our sanctuary that would not have other sheltering options available to them.
*To provide therapy programming to assisted living, nursing homes, hospital and hospice facilities to educate and enhance the lives of elderly, infirmed or terminal patients.

We have several kitties that currently need homes, please check our pet list for info.Our adoption fee covers testing for FIV/FeLV, Spay/Neuter, vaccines, worm/flea treatment, and all the love the animals can stand!

Operating solely on contributions by the public, we are always in need of these items.Pet Supplies:
Purina Kitten/Cat Chow, Friskies wet food, Fresh Step/Special Kitty cat littler, Cat Treats, Toys, Litter Pans, Carriers, Cages, Beds, Rugs etc.
Cleaning Supplies
Pine Sol/Mr Clean, Soft Scrub, Paper Towels, Kitchen Trash Bags, Bleach Spray, Sponges, Dustpans.
Misc
Colored and White Printer Paper, Stamps, Paper Bowls(for food), Gift Cards to Petsmart/Petco/Walmart/Target/Office Depot.
If you have items to donate, please email our organization and we will arrange pick up/drop off.
