***FOSTER HOMES ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED TO HELP SAVE MORE LIVES***
Furry Friends Network is not a shelter and relies on foster homes to provide a warm and safe environment for the homeless animals under our care until their permanent homes are found.

Well, I've been in foster care for 7 months. I have learned that being a dog is actually a great thing! I've been spayed and I'm up-to-date on everything. I am crate trained but when my foster parents have to leave, I get free run of the house with my 4-legged foster sister. I love being with other dogs as long as I am introduced correctly. I do not do well at the Adoption Days at PetSmart because of all the commotion and overstimulation in the store. I'm still about 35 pounds, love to curl up on someone's lap to sleep, have the cutest underbite and snaggle tooth, am energetic, happy, and love to play tug. So if you would like appli to adopt me, please so. I am looking for that perfect place to call home and won't settle for anything less. I have it pretty good on my foster home, so hey, I am only looking upward! Posted 10-25x10. My name is Penny Lane, or Penny for short. The first picture my foster mom saw of me brought the Beetles' song, Penny Lane. My age is somewhere around 6-12 months and I have already had puppies. I weigh about 35 pounds and am what they call a pocket pit - smaller in frame but twice as cute!! I am housebroken, crate trained, and doing much better walking on a leash. I am a puppy and do try to chew on things I shouldn't but I'm learning. I love chewing on my nylabone and I'm learning to drop the ball or toy so my foster mom can throw it for me, over and over. I really like kids but don't know what a cat is. I suppose I can find out if I have to. I'm up to date on my shots and will be spayed in early November, after which I am ready to be adopted. If you would like to meet me, I take my foster mom to the Carlisle PA PetSmart adoptathons. Come on down and say hi!
Furry Friends Network has lots of beautiful cats and kittens to choose from. The adoption fee for an adult kitty is only $60, kittens $100, and if you want to add a buddy it's half price! (Adoption fees cover the cost of vaccinations, Felv/FIV testing, deworming, flea/tick treatment, spay/neuter surgery and micro chipping.). You now can see some of our wonderful kitties at the Carlisle PetSmart, so please come visit!
If you haven't chosen a kitty yet but would like to start the adoption process, just go ahead and submit an application for a pre-approval! Then come meet everyone, take your pick and adopt the same day (provided application was approved). Visit our web site at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com to submit an online application or to download a printable form.
Furry Friends Network is a group of animal lovers that works together to facilitate the adoption of unwanted animals. Quite often, people have animals that they basically do not want anymore. They may not have the necessary time, they may be faced with an illness or a life change which makes it impossible to continue caring for the animal. There are countless reasons why animals are surrendered. Our philosophy is to help those animals who did not ask to be born and are the result of human ignorance. Furry Friends Network works to place these animals into loving homes to ensure a safe and happy life. Everyone wants the puppies and kittens, yet forgets they all grow up. Every animal, no matter its age, can offer love and companionship to the right person. Furry Friends Network also works to help humans understand the importance of controlling the pet population through spaying and neutering. There are so many animals of every age that are given up. Adding to the population just makes the situation worse. Until we all take responsibility for the lives we have allowed to be produced, animals will continue to suffer and die needlessly. The saying goes, it's not what you know, but who you know, and that is true. Through networking with friends and family, we find permanent, indoor homes for these animals, offering them a second chance at having a wonderful life. There are thousands of animal rescue organizations, all working for the same purpose. We hope through our efforts, Furry Friends Network is able to make at least a small difference and save a few lives in the process.
Animals available for adoption from Furry Friends Network have all received complete and thorough medical attention by a veterinarian. They not only receive a full physical examination, but are also given current vaccinations and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Furry Friends Network volunteers who foster the animals will provide as much information and on-going support to ensure a successful adoption. Our animals are very grateful to be given a second chance, and our obligation to them is to ensure permanent, loving, indoor homes. Please take a closer look at the animals we have for adoption. If you are interested in adopting from Furry Friends Network, please visit our website at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com. Look under our 'How To Adopt' link to learn about our adoption procedures and to complete an adoption application. Adoption application, home visit and adoption fee are required.
Furry Friends Network is NOT a shelter. You must be approved for adoption prior to visiting with an animal of interest in its foster home. However, you can visit with us at one of our adoption days and meet some of our animals that are ready for adoption. All of our animals are placed in foster homes or are adopted directly from their current homes.
Foster homes are DESPERATELY NEEDED! If you are interested in becoming a Foster Parent for one of our animals in need or would like to volunteer your time or talents in another way, please visit our website at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com. A volunteer application is available online. Please help us save these animals that need us so much!
