This is the Dog! has adoption shows at the PETCO in the Kohl's Shopping Center in East Homestead off of Campbell Drive (8th Street) from 12 Noon to 3pm on Saturdays.

Who We Are
This Is The Dog! is a 501(c)(3) non profit animal adoption and rescue group. Our mission is help stop pet overpopulation. We will spay and neuter each and every dog and cat that we rescue. We will also provide medical care, socialization and microchip before placing the animal in a home. Our adoption process includes an application and contract. We will help and encourage the community to spay and neuter their dogs and cats. We are a small group of volunteers and rely on the support and donations from friends and the community. Thank you.

Adoption Donation $65 for cats and $200-$300 for dogs

We try to get all pets in our care a full veterinary exam before adoption. This may include vaccinations, spay/neuter, and dental and grooming services as needed. Adoption donation also includes microchip. Cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, and dogs are tested for Heartworm if old enough.
Donations are very critical to our existence -- they help us to continue rescuing these pets and to make sure that they are healthy and properly socialized before being adopted.Thank you for considering an animal from This Is The Dog!
