We will be open for adoptions, animal intakes and owner reclaims. Animal Control is no longer located at the shelter building. We work strictly with the Simpson County Animal Shelter to find homes and rescue for the animals brought to the shelter. The Simpson County Animal Shelter only takes in animals from residents of Simpson County and/or the City of Franklin, KY. For more information on adoptions and general info call 270-586-3125. For ANIMAL CONTROL please call 270-586-8824.
Our shelter is a very small one. We have 18 cages for cats and 16 dog runs. We fill up very quickly and each animal is limited on time. If you are interested in a pet you see at our shelter, please call us. We actively work with rescue groups to move our pets out to save their lives. Many of our cats & kittens are available through several PETCO stores that we work with. They can be seen at the Bowling Green Petco & Hendersonville TN Petco. The Fix Foundation Spay/Neuter Clinic also helps with our cats and has adoption habitats at the Petco stores in Hermitage, Antioch, Brentwood & Murfreesboro TN. Feel free to visit any of these stores to see some wonderful, fully vetted, cats & kittens available for adoption.
We welcome volunteers. There are so many things that can be done to help. Feel free to stop by and see how you can help.
We are a very small all-volunteer NON-PROFIT organization (501c3) and we survive solely on the basis of donations from caring people who want to help us help the animals at our community shelter. This shelter shelter opened in July 2005 and we are always in need of monetary and product donations. All donations are tax deductible and receipts are given upon request, as we are a non-profit 501c3 organization New stainless steel cages have arrived and we are moving forward mproving the lives of the animals in our care.
We are working with The Fix Foundation (another 501c3) which has brought a NEW LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC TO FRANKLIN, BUILT RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE SHELTER!! The Fix Foundation Spay/Neuter Clinic can be reached at 270-586-6600. We are in need of funding to help with the costs of running this low cost spay/neuter clinic. All donations are tax deductible. It is our goal to help keep our shelter population low with an aggressive spay/neuter program, help the community and work with other rescue groups.
