We are now doing offsite adoptions at Petco in Hixson on selected Saturdays from 12:00-3:00. Please call Petco at 423-875-3174 for the date of our next scheduled visit. We would love you to come by and check out some of our lovable dogs available for adoption. You just may find your next best friend.
Great news!!!! The kennel is finished. We got the woodstove put in and the dogs moved in just before the cold weather hit in January. The dogs had a warm winter in the kennel and are all enjoying their new digs, complete with Kuranda beds. Our next major project is putting up additional fencing so there will be several exercise areas for several groups of dogs.
The 2009 Adventures Coupon books still available. For the Love of Dogs is selling these Dining and Entertainment books as a fundraiser. The books are $30 and they contain over 100 Buy One Get One Free Certficates. These include restaurants, music, theatre, attractions and sports. The book will pay for itself after using several coupons. These books also make wonderful gifts for the holidays. Contact Pam at fortheloveofdogs@bellsouth.net to get your 2009 Adventures Coupon Book. Coupons include places in Chattanooga, Dalton, Cleveland, and Cumberland County Playhouse.
The adoption fee for all dogs is $125 if adopted locally. Out of area adoptions are $150 plus a transport fee . This includes spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heartworm check, deworming, and flea/tick preventative.
Who We Are
For the Love of Dogs was founded because of our commitment to finding permanent homes for dogs tha have been abandoned. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization approved through the IRS. All donations are tax deductible. Funding is strictly through donations. Donations are always welcome and can be in the form of a monetary donation or donations of blankets, sheets, toys, dog treats, etc. For more information about adopting or donating, please contact Pam Vandergriff at forthelovedogs@bellsouth.net.
