Matthew is a 3 year old male who was hit by a car and is recovering from a fracture in the lower back/hips. Matthew is in a quiet foster home where he is gaining weight and healing. He is a well behaved little guy and is learning to use a doggie door. Matt has been around other dogs and is playful and interactive. He loves attention and is not aggressive. He weighs 21 pounds and as a 3 year old he won\'t get bigger.

2010-02-05 Urgent Message Regarding Fostering

We do not take in pets from the public at large. We foster highly adoptable pets from the Springdale Shelter only.

2009-02-05 February FPS Meeting Scheduled

The next meeting will be Wednesday February 17th at 6 PM at Jose's (540 and Sunset in Springdale). We now meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 PM, the location may change until we find a fixed location. Hope to see everyone there!

2009-06-02 Seeking Volunteers!

For Pets Sake is actively recruiting volunteers. The following volunteer positions are available:

  • Office Support
  • Public Relations
  • Foster Homes
  • Event Support and Fundraising

2007-10-08 The Collar Store is Open!

Don't have time to volunteer, but still want to help the pets? You can buy a great collar for your dog and the proceeds will support FPS. FPS collars will be on sale at Dog Party USA and Weddington Animal Hosptial in the next weeks or shop in the convenience of your own home and pay with Paypal. Who We Are

For Pet's Sake is a tax-exempt organization promoting animal welfare in Northwest Arkansas. We are located in Springdale, Arkansas. Our mission:

  • Aiding the elderly with pet expenses (Northwest Arkansas only).
  • Starting a discount microchipping program for all adopted pets in the NWA area.
  • Raising public awareness of animal welfare through educational programs in area schools.
  • Finding permanent homes for homeless and stray pets through fostering.
  • Network with other animal welfare organizations

Adopting A Friend

All pets adopted through For Pets Sake are:

  • Profiled for better personality matches.
  • Up-to-date on vaccinations.
  • Spayed/neutured or will be when mature enough.
  • Insured for one month free of charge.
