Dallas had nerve damage to his front right paw. Unfortunately his previous owners did nothing to help him. He chewed off his foot and wandered off into a very caring lady's yard. She called animal control who contacted us. We were able to help this little sweet loveable dog. He has been neutered, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative, general exam, fecal, and then the big surgery he had to have his leg amputated. Even with all of this he is still sweet and loving. He hasn't known alot of nice in his life but he will now. He deserves a fabulous home. So if you feel you can offer him a fabulous home fill out an application. If you have a special place in your heart for the underdog we can always use the donations to be able to afford to help them.
Please use the paypal link below, your donation will be marked "Special Medical Fund" and he will send a big doggie kiss your way to thank you.
Donations can be sent securely through papal:
In October 2002, F.O.R. Animals was formed. Members began reaching out to rescue groups in other parts of the country in an effort to find loving homes for the animal shelter's unwanted pets. F.O.R. Animals set a goal to save 1000 and were able to save 1049 in 2003. In 2004 the goal was to save 800 animals focusing more on adults then puppies and 798 animals were saved by either being rescued, reclaimed or adopted. The current percentage of animals being either rescued, reclaimed or adopted is approximately 50%. What makes this extraordinary is that all these animals make it to their designated rescues on a "transport train" made up of volunteers living up the east coast. Most of these people have never met each other, pay highway tolls and drive 100+ miles every weekend. All of the animals have made it to their destinations safely every time. Rarely has a transport been cancelled due to a lack of drivers.
