Who We Are

Friends for Life is a 501Š(3) charitable organization formed in 2004 to rescue and rehabilitate senior and special needs animals. The Forever Farm, established in 2005, is a cage-free sanctuary for these special cats and dogs. Located just off HWY 64, between Cashiers and Brevard, in Lake Toxaway, the Forever Farm is home to approximately one hundred cats and thirty dogs. Our dogs enjoy a home like environment consisting of both private and group living rooms, and large fenced grass play areas. The cats live freely in a large facility with access to large sunny porches. Separate rooms and cottages, also with porches, house the cats with Feline Leukemia, FIV, FIP and Feline Herpes Virus. Many of our residents will be adopted into loving homes, but some who may be very old or ill will remain at the Forever Farm for the rest of their lives.

Adopting a friend

Our pets can be adopted based on a personal interview that assures us that your home is a good match for our animal. A veterinary reference, or home visit is sometime requested. Adoption fees vary and generally run between $75 and $150.
