We have maintained an adoption center at the PetsMart store in Valley View area for the past eight years. Cats and kittens are available for viewing during store hours and adoptions are done by appointment. Adoption forms are available outside the adoption room and there is a 24-hour waiting period for the adoption to be approved.
News
Since being in founded in 1998, FERAL has placed over 3500 cats and kittens in loving homes. We highly stress spaying and neutering and discourage declawing. We accept cats and kittens that are homeless, abandonded and abused. We do not take pets except in extreme cases.
Who We Are
We are located in the PetsMart store at Valley View Boulevard in Roanoke Virginia in the Valley View Shopping Center Complex. The store is open Monday through Saturday, 9 until 9, Sunday 10 until 6. The cats and kittens are available for viewing during store hours. Volunteers clean the cages in the morning and check on the cats periodically during the day, but there may be times when no one is available to answer your questions. In that case, please call (540) 427-1842 to request information about a cat or kitten.

The adoption procedure begins with the interested party filling out an adoption application which is located on the table outside the adoption room. Please remember to answer all the questions and fill in both sides of application. Indicate which cat you are interested in and leave the application on the table. Someone will review it and get back to you. Do not come to pick up the cat until you have spoken to an adoption counsellor. PetsMart employees do not have the authority to conduct adoptions of our felines. We will contact you and at that time you may request more information about the cat or kitten in which you are interested. Adoptions are conducted by appointment.
