ANNOUNCEMENTS

**On October 30, Dirty Ernie's Rib Pit in Fayetteville sponsered a pet adoption fair for the New River Humane Society. During the event, Dirty Ernie's picked up the tab for the adoption fees. It was a great success and we would like to express our gratitude to Mike, Brad, and their wonderful staff for all they did for us on that day and also the contribution of the dollar bills off the walls of the restaurant. Because of their generosity, we were able to adopt 21 animals into forever, loving homes. Also, we would like to thank all the businesses that donated door prizes for the event.

The Humane Society would like to extend their thanks to each person and business in our community that offer their time and money to help the homeless animals of Fayette County. Community participation is invaluable to our effort in reducing the number of homeless and unwanted animals in our county.

**New River Humane Society, Inc. wishes to announce that a bank of twelve new cat cages have been purchased and installed at the Fayette County Animal Control Center to replace three wooden ones. This has been made possible through a grant from Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, Ruth Hornbrook Memorial Fund and the support of the citizens of Fayette County. They have helped in the past and we wish to thank them for supporting our efforts to care for the animals put in our charge.**

**New River Humane Society, Inc. is announcing that the low-income spay/neuter program has resumed. Please call 304-574-2105 and request an application. Also, we will spay or neuter any animal adopted from the shelter. These programs are available as long as there are funds available. Please call and take advantage of these programs, do not continue to permit unwanted litters. **
