During the Month of June you must renew your dog's license at the Town Clerk's Office.
New dogs and New residents have 30 days to obtain a dog license.
If you have a new puppy it must be licensed when it turns six months of age.
Please bring in a current rabies certificate.
Who We Are
We are the municipal animal shelter for the Town of Ellington, CT. Begining Dec. 15, 2001, the Adoption fee will be $50, under the State Animal Population Control Program. This will include a certificate for Spay/Neuter and for shots, for CT. residents. The fee for adopters outside of Ct. is only $5. The fee for any pet that is already spayed or neutered is only $5. We do require an application to be filled out first and must be approved before an animal is adopted out.

Our Shelter hours are weekdays: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are located on Rt.286 - Main St., just off Route 83, behind the Ellington Fire Station.
From I-84 (East or West) take Exit 64 onto Rt.83 and follow North to Ellington.
