The Seneca County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ltd is located in MacDougall, central Seneca County, near the Varick-Fayette town line. Originally established in 1998 as a bull breed rescue org, incorporating in 2005 not-for-profit Dog Rescue Society to rescue abused and mistreated American Bulldogs and similar breeds, the organization has changed and will accept, within the limitations of space and resources, other breeds that will benefit from a structured socialization and training program as well as careful placement. Formerly known as Dog Rescue Society, Ltd, we have earned the designation as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Seneca County, giving it and its trained peace officers and cruelty investigators the authority to investigate and charge individuals with cruelty and neglect of companion, domestic and farm animals. **We are not a county government affiliate and have no county contract at this time.** Society Goals:
