Who We Are

Established in 1989, Doberman Rescue Group (DRG) is a nonprofit-501(C)3, charitable organization whose purpose is to rescue abused, abandoned and unwanted Dobermans and place them in safe and loving homes.

Our Dobermans are treasured family members, and we hope for loving homes for all Dobermans born into this world. In reality, the need for Doberman Rescue will be with us long into the future. Adopting a Doberman

All Dobermans Adopted from DRG have been vet checked and certified, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, started on heartworm prevention, temperament tested, crate trained, and house trained. We request a donation of $250 from each adopter to help provide these services for the next Doberman.

The Adoption Process includes completion of an Adoption Application, phone interview, and an in-person interview with all family members and other pets. Veterinary reference and a home visit are a part of the adoption process.

Qualified homes will allow the dog to live primarily inside, provide a safely fenced yard suitable for the age and athleticism of the dog, provide regular veterinary care, monthly heartworm preventative, and basic obedience classes after adoption. We are in urgent need of foster homes and donations - Dobermans are being left behind in shelters facing death because we have no foster homes to put them in, and no money to board them. Our foster homes also need crates and blankets for the Dobes.
