My name is Jake the Great!

I love life and will be happy when I find my forever home. I was living on the streets with my owner but was not very pleased and kept running off to see the world. I was found running dangerously in the streets and thankfully a caring person brought me to the shelter so I could be safe. My owner never came looking for me but that's OK cause I know I will find an amazing home. I enjoy playing with other dogs and am rather well behaved considering my life so far. I am a German Shorthaired Pointer but do have hound in me and you can tell from my bark....no secret there. The missing fur on my nose is from wearing a halti 24/7. This sweet boy has personality. His name is ODEN and he is a young, approx 2 year old Coonhound/Vizsla cross. He is currently in foster care in Vancouver. Oden loves other dogs and people of all ages. Visit him on our Adoptable Pet List..

WHO ARE WE?

CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE is a non-profit "all-breed" dog rescue organization. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love animals and have joined together to help rescue, provide medical care, rehabilitate and rehome abused, abandoned, homeless animals. Many times we rescue animals (primarily dogs) who have found themselves unwanted and lost in over-crowded shelters and facing death row.

CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE is in need of monetary DONATIONS to help rescue animals in need of homes. If you would like to make a DONATION please click the PAYPAL donation button below. Without your generosity we would not be able to help as many animals as we do. Thank you so much!

CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE is always in need of QUALITY kibble, canned and raw food for our dogs as well as dog beds, x-pens and med to lrg crates. If you can make a donation of any of these items please let us know and we can pick it up. Quality dog toys are also needed as many of our dogs have never had a squeeky toy or kong and don't know what they are missing :) Our rescues say WOOF and thank you for your kind support!

CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE is run 100% by volunteers. We do not have a shelter facility to visit. All our rescues are immediately placed into loving foster homes and cared for in the home until suitable families/companions are found. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent please email us for a foster application and information.
