Companion Critters, Inc., a 501(c)(3), non-profit New Jersey corporation, was founded on September 17, 2000 to help the animals on death row in shelters and pounds. To date, 540 homeless pets have been saved.
All pets adopted from Companion Critters will be spayed or neutered before they are released to new homes. In addition to our rescue efforts, we actively promote and provide low cost spaying and neutering services for both owned and feral animals. Our goal is to be part of the solution of pet overpopulation.
DOG AND CAT GROOMING:
We highly recommend
Reigning Cats and Dogs Salon in Westfield, NJ. Reigning Cats and Dogs does an excellent job and they graciously provide professional grooming for all of our rescues who need it.
Adoption Process
If you are interested in adopting a pet, please complete a
dog/puppy application or cat/kitten application . If you want more information on a pet, please e-mail specific questions as we need to know what type if information you require in order to respond effectively. After we have processed your application, we will contact you to make an appointment to meet the pet. The entire procedure is done very quickly if you provide accurate and complete information. We regret that we are not able to accept incomplete applications where all questions have not been answered.
If you see a pet you are interested in prior to the scheduled adoption events, please contact us via email.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PET VALU STORE FOR MORE INFORMATION! Pet Valu graciously allows us to use their space to hold adoption events and we do not want to burden their staff with inquiries intended for us.. They have no information on any of the animals we have for adoption. Please email us with any questions you might have.
We recommend you send us your application in advance as we do not release animals at our adoption events unless we have your approved application on file and such arrangements have been made.
