About Us

The Critter Corral is a small animal rescue specializing in guinea pigs. We were founded in April, 1999. As of January 1st we have taken in over 3600 homeless and unwanted Guinea Pigs! 95% of the Guinea Pigs in our rescue come from shelters and animal controls.
Being there are so many homeless Guinea Pigs around the country we do not feel we should fill homes out of our area with our Guinea Pigs. Check your local shelters if you are not in the Chicago and surrounding suburban area (which includes NW Indiana and Decatur/Springfield). Adopting a friend

There is an adoption application, adoption fee, and contract required. If there is someone specific that you would like to see please contact us at info@crittercorral.org Adoption fee is $25 per guinea pig. The adoption fee helps to cover feeding, bedding and medical care of the Guinea Pigs in the rescue. Please contact us for more information.

Memorial Program
Have a homeless piggie named after a loved ones pet. For a $10 donation you'll also receive a pigture of the piggie getting that special name.

For just $15 a year you can help our piggies for a full year.
