We are currently looking for foster homes to care for one or two dogs at a time. We also have young litters of puppies who need foster homes. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering a dog or volunteering in any capacity. We currently hold adoption events on Saturday and/or Sunday at PetsMart in Newnan, and would like to have volunteers to help out with adoptions on Saturdays and Sundays.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to the health and well being of abandoned and stray pets in the midwest Georgia area. Each of our dogs is spayed or neutered prior to adoption, as well as being micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee doesn't cover all the costs associated with each animal.
We rely on donations to fund the day-to-day care of the animals. We have no paid employees and all donations go directly to the care and upkeep of the dogs. If you would like to make a donation, you can mail your check to P.O. Box 833, Hogansville, GA 30230.
Some of our plans for the future include responsible pet ownership educational programs aimed at our youngsters and a low cost spay/neuter program to help prevent more unwanted animals. Our adoption events are primarily held in Newnan, but we do have special events in other locations from time to time.
Adopting a friend
The adoption process is fairly simple. You will fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire and agree to a home inspection. The home inspection is to insure that there is adequate space and housing for the dog that is to be adopted. Once the questionnaire is completed and approved, the adoption contract is signed, the adoption fee paid, and the dog goes home with you.
