Visit Petsmart in Dewitt, NY to see some of our adoptable cats. Who We Are
Central New York's Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (CNY SNAP)is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping curb the pet overpopulation by offering low-cost spay and neuter services. Our mission is to make a difference in our community by reducing the overpopulation of cats and dogs in the Central New York area. CNY SNAP is a grass roots organization made up of an entirely volunteer workforce. Weekly spay and neuter clinics are performed at the CNY SNAP clinic in Cortland, NY. The clinics are held in conjunction with SOS (Shelter Outreach Services) who provide the veterinary resources necessary. For more information about SOS and their services please visit: www.shelteroutreachservices.org Clinics accommodate approximately 20-30 cats and dogs. Services are offered at a low cost for feral cats, barn cats, strays, and low-income households. If interested in having your pet spayed or neutered, call us at 607-756-2561 for an appointment. Please leave a quick message with your name and telephone number. Also, please be patient for a call back. We are very busy. Thank you. We are also looking for local businesses to showcase our homeless friends who are looking for a permanent home. IF YOU HAVE LOST A CAT, please do not hesitate to call us, in the event that it may have been turned in to our facility.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption process consists of coming in to meet with one of our adoption counselors, filling out our adoption application which includes both personal references and a vet reference check. *********** DO YOU HAVE A BARN WITH A RODENT PROBLEM? WE HAVE A SOLUTION ! WE HAVE SEVERAL SEMI-FRIENDLY CATS WHO WOULD BE GREAT MOUSERS. ALL ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED AND UP TO DATE ON VACCINES. SAY BYE-BYE MOUSIES, HELLO PRETTY KITTIES! CALL 607 756-2561 ************ Some of our adoptable pets can be seen at PetSmart in Marshall's Plaza on Erie Boulevard in DeWitt.

Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner, Bleach, Laundry Detergent, Paper Towels, and Canned Cat Food (not shredded or chunked please)
Volunteers:
There are many different tasks that need attention, including feeding, cage care, laundry, and most importantly, tender loving care for the cats. Volunteers are also needed at PetSmart in Dewitt and the Carrier Dome in Syracuse for select sporting events. Volunteer possibilities are endless. Raise money on your own to help keep the spay/neuter clinic going! Help your friends and neighbors with getting their pets spayed or neutered! Educate others on the importance of spaying and neutering! If you do not live close to us, please volunteer at your local shelter. Even if you do not have much time to give, you WILL make a difference!
