To adopt a pet, please visit Chicago Animal Care & Control in person
Wednesdays through Fridays 4PM - 7PM
Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3:00, and from 4PM to 7PM.
The shelter is closed for adoptions on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The Commission on Chicago Animal Care & Control endeavors to demonstrate a dedication to the humane
treatment of all animals in Chicago, to respond promptly to the requests for service from the public, and to enforce
Chapter 7-12 of the Municipal Code of Chicago for the safety of chicago's neighborhoods.
Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the goals of the
City of Chicago Animal Care and Control in their efforts to care for and find homes for thousands of rescued and unwanted animals.
