Our Featured Pet
GRAYSON!
Are you the one for Grayson? Grayson is an amazing 1 yr old Black Lab mix who was rescued from a local animal control facility. Although he looks just like a lab and acts exactly like a lab, we say mix b/c he is so small for a lab at 40 lbs (maybe a "mini" lab?). Grayson came into the foster program b/c he was so scared at the loud noisy shelter, he was facing euthanasia - which is just absurd. Once he was out of the shelter his personality just shined! Grayons absolutely loves other dogs and is curious but very respectful of cats. He thinks he might make a good lap dog. He is both crate and housetrained. Oh and he just loves loves loves to play ball! Grayson is just a wonderful, happy go lucky, active boy. His ideal home will have access to a securely fenced yard and he would love a canine playmate! Grayson is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negtaive and microchipped!

Happy Endings

Several of our rescued pets have already found wonderful forever homes. Click here to see our Happy Endings!

Who We Are

We are a network of foster homes of people who provide temporary foster care primarily for Cherokee County's strays and displaced animals while they await their forever homes. Our primary foster homes are approved fosters for Cherokee County Humane Society. In addition, we list animals for other licensed rescues. Many of our rescued pets come from shelters, but we also take them in directly from owners when we have room. This allows us to lessen the burden on the shelters. We also help independent rescuers place their rescued pets. Lastly, we also provide postings for owners needing assistance in rehoming their own pets.

Adopting a friend

If you find a pet you are interested in, please e-mail us. We will send you our adoption application. We do often require pre adoption home visits as well. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility you can visit. If pre approved to adopt, we will set up an appointment for you to meet and adopt your new family member. A contract will then be completed and an adoption fee will apply to cover the pets foster care and veterinary expenses.
