VIOLET NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Violet is a sweet girl that needs a lot of help. She was found as a stray. The poor thing is very skinny. She weighs 18 pounds, but should be somewhere closer to 30. Her bones are protruding out of every side of her body, especially her back shoulder blade area. Violet's leg is broken in 2 places. She has to wear an air cast for 6 weeks, but if that doesn't work, the leg may have to be amputated. She also has a hernia and isn't spayed yet, but the vet wants to wait until she gains a little more weight before they do that surgery. She has quite the appetite, so hopefully that won't have to wait for long.

Even with all Violet is going through, she's still very loving. She loves people and enjoys being around other dogs. She also seems to get along with cats just fine. Violet needs our help to recover so she can find her forever home.

Paw Pals' finances have been stretched to the limit lately, and we're having trouble coming up with the funds to treat Violet and some of the other sad cases that have shown up at the shelter lately. Can you help? Any amount can make a difference. Please consider donating to the PayPal account we've set up in Violet's name.

Thank you for caring!

WHO WE ARE
We are a nonprofit organization dependent upon fund-raisers, and donations for our operation. The Humane Society's mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals by operating an animal shelter for homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals; by operating an adoption center for healthy animals; by investigating cruelty and abuse cases; and by educating the public in responsible pet ownership. If you are needing to surrender an animal, please note that we only accept animals from Clinton County residents. Spay/neuter is required for all pets adopted from our shelter.

ADOPTING A FRIEND
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2011, ALL ANIMALS ADOPTED FROM OUR HUMANE SOCIETY WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO GOING TO THEIR ADOPTIVE HOMES! Adoption fee for cats is $60 which includes Felv/FIV testing and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for dogs is $100 which includes heartworm test and spay/neuter. If you are coming from a great distance to meet one of our homeless pets, please note that you may not be able to take them home with you that day unless the pet is already spayed or neutered. The Humane Society of Clinton County has the right to refuse adoption after reviewing the adoption application. We want to see our animals go to permanent, loving homes. Our staff and volunteers are available to answer any questions you may have and to assist you in finding the right pet for you and your family. We now accept Visa and Mastercard.

Don't Breed or Buy While Homeless Animals Die! Did you realize every time you buy from a breeder or pet store another shelter animal dies? Buying from breeders only encourages them to breed again and gives more homeless animals no chance of being adopted. Shelters and rescues have many beautiful pets of all breeds!

PAW PALS OF CLINTON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY

THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAYING AND NEUTERING
Every year thousands of animals are euthanized in shelters across the nation. With so many animals coming in to our shelter daily, it's impossible to find homes for all of them. Please join Paw Pals of Clinton County Humane Society in their effort to educate the citizens of Clinton County on the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Many people don't realize all the benefits to neutering their cats and dogs. The number one reason is that it saves lives of innocent animals. There are numerous other reasons to spay and neuter your pets too which include: neutering pets helps them live longer, it makes pets more affectionate companions, pets are less likely to fight, neutering reduces the urge to roam, it stops males from marking their territory, neutered pets have fewer behavior problems, it's cheaper than caring for a litter, and neutering prevents the birth of unwanted puppies/kittens. It's important to have your pets spayed or neutered by the time they reach sexual maturity -5 months of age. Be a part of the solution and SPAY and NEUTER your pets- IT SAVES LIVES!
