WHO WE ARE
We are a nonprofit organization dependent upon fund-raisers, and donations for our operation. The Humane Society's mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals by operating an animal shelter for homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals; by operating an adoption center for healthy animals; by investigating cruelty and abuse cases; and by educating the public in responsible pet ownership. If you are needing to surrender an animal, please note that we only accept animals from Clinton County residents. Spay/neuter is required for all pets adopted from our shelter.

ADOPTING A FRIEND
Adoption fee for intact cats is $50 with $40 of the fee being applied toward the spay or neuter. We are currently running a $25 special for all spayed/neutered cats. Adoption fee for intact male and female dogs is $75 with $60 of the dog adoption fee being applied toward the spay or neuter. All spayed and neutered dogs are $150 and are heartworm and fecal checked. We want to see our animals go to permanent, loving homes. Our staff and volunteers are available to answer any questions you may have and to assist you in finding the right pet for you and your family. We now accept Visa and Mastercard.

Don't Breed or Buy While Homeless Animals Die! Did you realize every time you buy from a breeder or pet store another shelter animal dies? Buying from breeders only encourages them to breed again and gives more homeless animals no chance of being adopted. Shelters and rescues have many beautiful pets of all breeds!

PAW PALS OF CLINTON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
Paw Pals is the Clinton County Humane Society's auxiliary dedicated to helping the Society through fund-raisers for animals in need of vet care, community involvement, education on spaying and neutering and off-site adoptions. We manage the website and contact rescues to help place our animals. Please email Lisa Ristow for information on how to get involved with Paw Pals or just come to our next meeting on Tuesday, February 2nd, at 6:00 at the shelter.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAYING AND NEUTERING
Every year thousands of animals are euthanized in shelters across the nation. With so many animals coming in to our shelter daily, it's impossible to find homes for all of them. Please join Paw Pals of Clinton County Humane Society in their effort to educate the citizens of Clinton County on the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Many people don't realize all the benefits to neutering their cats and dogs. The number one reason is that it saves lives of innocent animals. There are numerous other reasons to spay and neuter your pets too which include: neutering pets helps them live longer, it makes pets more affectionate companions, pets are less likely to fight, neutering reduces the urge to roam, it stops males from marking their territory, neutered pets have fewer behavior problems, it's cheaper than caring for a litter, and neutering prevents the birth of unwanted puppies/kittens. It's important to have your pets spayed or neutered by the time they reach sexual maturity -6 months of age. Be a part of the solution and SPAY and NEUTER your pets- IT SAVES LIVES!
