Meet Samantha and Scooter!Brown tabby Samantha adores attention and LOVES to be brushed. She’s shy at first when she meets new people or is in a new place. Once she becomes comfortable, she will remain forever your devoted companion and gentle love bug. When she sleeps, she most often likes to burrow under the bed covers and you will just see a little lump! She particularly likes toys she can jump high for and is agile and graceful. Her favorite spot to lounge may be on the back of the sofa, on a bookshelf, windowsill, or on a comfy bed; and, like Scooter, her spot also needs to be near you where she can keep a watchful eye on you. Sam can be very curious and loves to explore closets! Samantha enjoys playing with her brother and looks out for him lovingly. She purrs all the time when you are talking with her or patting or brushing her, and will give you head butts as she looks into your eyes with love.
Gray and white Scooter is a dapper guy who loves to be wherever you are! Look at that sweet mustache! Mr. Scooter loves to cuddle with you on the sofa and nestle in your lap while you are watching television or talking on the phone. He is the more talkative of the two, and will often meow if you leave the room and he can’t find you. One of his very cute traits is that Scooter will often roll on the ground and rub his head and ears with his paws when he is happy. He loves his cardboard slant scratch post and he also thoroughly enjoys catnip toys. Scooter isn’t as big on brushing as Samantha, but Scooter will never turn down having his head rubbed and being patted. He is a big boy who just soaks up the love and gives it right back to you tenfold.
Both Samantha and Scooter are about eight years old and need to find a home together. Both cats are excellent with their litter boxes and have their front claws. An adult-only home is the best for them as loud noises can scare them. They could share a home with other cats with the usual introduction. As far as we know, they have never lived with dogs. They both seem to get frightened when picked up. Scooter especially seems to feel very vulnerable when lifted. Change is challenging for them and they would probably need about a week or so to settle into their new home. Once they know they are truly HOME, they will be your most loyal and loving pals, we guarantee it! Cause for Paws is a small all-volunteer Minnesota nonprofit 501 (c) (3) group whose main focus is on finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Cause for Paws fosters these cats in their own private homes; there is no central facility.
