He's Back!

Looks who's back! Tristan had been adopted but was recently returned. He is a very confident cat and may not fit into all households. Tristan had been adopted into a home as an only cat, but he had a dog for company. Tristan loves dogs, so we thought this was good. The dog was a bit on the shy side and turned out to be afraid of Tristan! Also when Tristan was home alone he meowed so loudly that the neighbors complained. Between those two points, Tristan was reluctantly returned.

Tristan is about 4 to 5 years old and has been felv/fiv tested (negative), vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Tristan is VERY playful. He likes to play and play. All toys are his favorite. He's good with well-mannered dogs (and we found out not shy dogs) and is good with other cats but he can be selective with which cats he gets along. Tristan isn't afraid to let other cats or dogs know of his status as head of the household pets. If anyone challenges his hierarchy, he will remind them that he is top cat. In addition to confidence, he is also quite agile and curious. If we open the freezer door, Tristan will launch from the floor into the freezer to see what in it for him. He's hopped into the washing machine and dryer - be careful when you close doors (he's been locked in a closet as well). He's also very curious (and quick) with doors opening and closing so we suggest a home without small children who may not realize that Tristan can't go outside. Despite his activity level, he is quite the affectionate boy too.

Cause for Paws is a small all-volunteer Minnesota nonprofit 501 (c) (3) group whose main focus is on finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens. To find out more about Tristan or other kitties that we have available for adoption, please email email Cause For Paws, Inc.
