Cats In Need
Foster Homes Desperately Needed . . .
You can make a difference in the life of a cat or kitten without making a long term commitment! A couple weeks out of a cage and in a home can make the world of difference for a cat. We always need foster homes for seniors and special needs cats, too! If you have an FIV/FeLV cat at home, you can help by fostering one of our "positive" cats until a permanent home can be found. If you're able to open up your heart and home temporarily, contact our Foster Coordinator, Karen at (909) 240-5262 or stop by our Adoption Show and talk to a volunteer. We supply everything you need. It won't cost you anything but your time!
Who We Are
Cats In Need is an all-volunteer run non-profit cat rescue organization. We operate soley on donations and receive no government funding. We have many chapters located across Southern California. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated. We desperately need fosters who can temporarily care for a cat until it is adopted into a permanent home. We are always in need of volunteers to help with socializing our cats, cleaning cages, laundry duty and helping with our weekend Adoption Shows. If interested in volunteering, please come by the store on Saturday or Sunday and talk to one of our volunteers.
Adopting a friend
All our cats have been spayed / neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FELV/FIV (unless specified) and microchipped. Tax -deductible adoption fee is $100. Be sure to call or email us if you are interested in a particular cat to be sure it is at the show the day you plan to visit. The adoption process is simple. When you arrive at the adoption show, you can meet the cat you are interested in. You will then need to fill out an adoption questionnaire. This will tell us if you are a compatible match for the cat you are interested in. You will need a carrier to take your new family member home in (they also have carriers available for purchase at Petco and Petsmart). All of our adopted cats have a "lifetime return" policy. If for any reason you cannot keep your adopted cat, Cats In Need will take the cat back and find another home.
If you are interested in a particular cat, we want to know right way!! Please email us right away or give us a call at the number listed on the cat's page.
