Beverly Animal Shelter

Our Pet List

Who We Are

The Beverly Animal Shelter, located in Waterloo, NY is a no-kill, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) shelter which was opened by Gladys Schultz in 1958.
The shelter is highly committed to animal welfare. A small community, we rely heavily on volunteers and donations and are dedicated to finding homes for homeless pets of all varieties.

Adopting a friend

The Beverly Animal Shelter not only finds homes for cats and dogs but also birds, reptiles, and small animals, such as rabbits, hamsters, etc. Adoption fees are required for the animals, as we provide basic care, and are as follows: Cats - $50 / Kittens - $30 / Dogs -$100 / Puppies - $110.

Histories of the animals are not known, so play it safe and have them checked by your veterinarians as soon as possible. We do spend a lot of time with the animals, so we know their basic needs and the type of home required.
Please browse our pet list or call the shelter for the most currently available pets. Many stray dogs are picked up by dog control and need permanent homes. Thank you for considering adopting a homeless pet.

... It is now a policy of our shelter that any and all pure bred "pit bulls", or mixes thereof, will require a home visit from a shelter worker or volunteer before and after adoption approval. We are looking out for the best interests and safety of these wonderful dogs and the people that choose to adopt them. Thank you for your understanding.

AND, WE NEED TO FIND PERMANENT HOMES FOR THE MANY CATS AND KITTENS currently at our shelter. Adult cats are spayed or neutered and have a current rabies vaccine, litter trained and friendly. A variety of adult cats and kittens are waiting for homes. You can view many of these cats and kittens on our Pet List.

We want to give a special thanks to each and every one of you who continue to support and donate to the shelter. Our appreciation is immeasurable. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Volunteering
The Beverly Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter supported by donations from generous citizens who love animals. They also rely heavily on the generosity of local veterinarians. The shelter is always in need of responsible people to volunteer. The shelter needs volunteers to help clean up the outside areas and to walk the dogs.
With over 25 acres to explore with a canine friend, volunteers wanting exercise are especially appreciated!
