Who We Are

Benton Rescue was founded in 2010 by Sarah Benton. She has loved animals her whole life and been working in veterinary clinics since she was 15. While working as a vet tech in Georgia, Sarah helped start a cat rescue - one that is still growing and continues to help cats and kittens in need. After moving to Los Angeles, Sarah kept up with her passion by fostering for local shelters and rescues. Now, she is in the process of building another cat and kitten rescue - Benton Rescue. Sarah hopes that over time, Benton Rescue can grow to have more foster homes and a greater abilty to rescue many more cats and kittens.

Adopting a friend

Benton Resuce is a non-profit, cage-free rescue. All of our cats and kittens are kept in foster homes. You can meet our kitties by emailing us and setting up an appointment. Once you have met the kitty and if you are interested in adopting him or her, you will fill out an adoption application and have an interview and home check by one of our volunteers. If you are approved, you will begin a 2 week trial period with your cat to make sure it is a good fit for both you and the kitty - we want everyone to be happy with this adoption! If the match does not work out, your adoption fee will be refunded to you in full and the cat taken back into its foster home. If you are happy with the cat after the trial period, you will sign the final adoption contract. All of our kitties are FeLV/FIV/HW tested, dewormed, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. The adoption fee helps to cover the cost of these things, plus food, litter, and other supplies and vet care necessary for caring for kittens and cats. The adoption fee is different for each kitten/cat and depends on age, special needs, etc, and ranges from $60 to $125

Come Visit Us!

Benton Rescue does not run out of a shelter - we are a cage-free rescue and our kitties are in foster homes until adopted. If you would like to meet a kitten or cat, please email us to set up an appointment.
