A non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, abused and abandoned dogs and cats. We're trying to save them...one at a time.
WE NEED SOME HELP WITH OUR NEWEST RESCUE PUPPY BLOSSOM
Little Blossom was just rescued from a high kill shelter with a terrible case of mange. She has been severly malnourished and her little eyes were swollen shut. She is now safe at our vet's office and her little eyes are already starting to open after some soaking with a warm cloth and saline solution. Blossom is going to be a beautiful girl in no time but we could use your help with donations. Please help us to help more dogs like Blossom! Your support helps us to help them!
Checks can also be mailed to:

WE NEED SOME HELP WITH OUR NEWEST RESCUE DOG TANDY
Tandy was found in an industrial area with serious injuries to her leg and deep puncture wounds from dog bites. Tandy is emaciated and limping on her front leg. We have Tandy at our vet's office where she will be receiving the treatment she needs to be a healthy girl. We could use your help with donations while treating Tandy.
PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM
We are in desperate need of financial assistance. It is a tough time for everyone but the animals are suffering the worst. If you have the ability to make a donation, even if it's a small one, we need it now more than ever.

ALLEN BABCOCK DOG & CAT RESCUE
Allen Babcock Dog & Cat Rescue, Inc. is a No-Kill, Not-For-Profit 501c3 organization who rescues injured, abandoned and abused animals, provides veterinary care and helps place them in loving homes through a foster-care program. The organization is comprised entirely of volunteers and all funds raised are used for the care and well being of the animals in their care. Babcock Rescue relies on donations of cash, services, pet food, pet items and volunteer efforts.
WHO WE ARE
ALLEN BABCOCK DOG & CAT RESCUE, INC.
We are a no-kill - not for profit dog & cat rescue group that rescues injured, abandoned and/or abused animals (that most rescue groups would not take), and do "whatever it takes" to make them better. Once healed, we rely entirely on foster homes to nurture the animals until we find their permanent "forever" home.
We DO NOT euthanize because they are injured and their care will be costly - nor do we euthanize because the animal is too old to be adopted. We take animals that most other no-kill organizations will not take --- which makes us a TRUE no-kill organization.
We are comprised ENTIRELY of volunteers and no-one receives compensation for their time. We have no funding available to us other than donations and grants we apply for and, contrary to what many people believe -
WE DO NOT GET OUR VET SERVICES FOR FREE!
We pay - just like you do!
We are forever holding fundraising events to raise money to cover our vet bills and keep our fingers crossed with the rest!
And no matter what the vet bill was or the pedigree of the dog or cat, our adoption fees for dogs are $175.00 and that includes a microchip! Cats/kittens are $75.00. Your pet donation is a tax deductible donation to you and will be applied toward the vet bill.
We CANNOT accept surrendered pets because we do not have a shelter to house them and cannot afford to pay to board them somewhere. We rely "entirely" on foster homes and have animals in foster care in Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Weston and Plantation.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We are always in need of temporary or long term "animal loving" homes, and donations of dog & cat food, kitty litter, leashes, harnesses of all sizes, litter pans and carpet covered kitty condos. Please give us a call if you are interested in helping our group save lives.
Remember -- We are comprised entirely of volunteers and NO-ONE receives a salary or monetary compensation for services or time. All donations are applied to the care and well being of our animals.
Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

ADOPTING A FRIEND
Most of the animals in our care have been rescued, so we ensure their new home will be better than the last. We ask every potential adoptee to complete an adoption application. We use a legal and binding adoption contract and charge an adoption fee and we perform a home inspection.
ASK ABOUT OUR FOSTER PROGRAM
Since we do not have a shelter or kennel, we operate ENTIRELY out of our homes and through our computers. As a result, we rely exclusively on foster homes. OUR FOSTER PARENTS PAY NOTHING - WE PROVIDE IT ALL. It is not a good thing to house an animal in a kennel for any length of time and doing so, absolutely hinders our ability to adopt him or her into a new home.
In a kennel, we do not know whether they are housebroken, destructive, likes cats, kids or other dogs. So a foster home is always a good thing for the pet, and we never have enough lined up. A dog or cat will do far better adjusting when they are sitting by your chair in the evening vs. stashed in a noisy kennel somewhere with a bunch of barking dogs. Sometimes the foster home has other pets, and sometimes, not. Foster animals are brought to our various adoption events and left for the day, hoping to find the right owner. If you are interested in more details please call Cheryl at 954-474-8198 or email babcock_rescue@yahoo.com.
