Surgical removal of Judy’s mammary tumors and repairing her extremely large hernia were accomplished at the same time, on Dec. 8th. There wasn't enough underlying tissue available to spay her at this time, so it will have to be done after she heals from this procedure. Any amount of money you can donate to help us with Judy’s surgery will be most appreciated. Donations can be made through Pay Pal or you can mail a check made out to ARFA to

SWEETIE PIE (Below) needs a Foster Home or a Forever Home!
Sponsorship helps ARFA provide extraordinary care for the medical emergencies that sometimes arise.
Anne S. sponsored treatment for Lyda Rose, who was taken into the program with known,
serious injuries and continued her sponsorship until Lyda Rose was adopted. She sponsored
Miss Murphy and Austin until they were adopted. She sponsored the treatment dear little
Poncho, a long haired miniature dachshund, needed when he came into the program with an
undiagnosed back problem. Poncho recovered and was adopted. Anne sponsored Max until he
could be moved into a foster home and Violet 2 until she was adopted. She stepped forward
and sponsored the intensive, aggressive treatment Onyx, a black cocker spaniel, needed to
correct her serious skin condition. Jason B., stepped forward to foster Onyx and took
over her sponsorship, and thanks to his diligent and effective care, her hair has grown
back in and she needs only minimal maintenance medicine to keep her coat gorgeous. Jason
couldn't give her up and adopted her.
If you would like to sponsor all or just part of the medical treatment for any of the
dogs in our program, please let us know, you will be listed as their sponsor and your
donation is tax deductible.

FOSTER HOMES URGENTLY NEEDED
If you have a loving heart and a strong desire to save a precious life, please consider taking in a "down on their luck" dog or cat.
ARFA WILL PAY FOR ALL NECESSARY VET CARE,
AND PROVIDE HEARTWORM AND FLEA PREVENTION FOR YOUR FOSTER.
ARFA WILL ALSO PROVIDE FOOD IF NECESSARY.
All we ask from you is that you open your hearts and homes to these helpless darlings, provide them with a safe haven, transport them to/from vet, and help us help them find their forever home by showing them with our group at an adoption event
at least once a month.
ARFA NEEDS YOU AND THEY NEED YOU EVEN MORE!

Who We Are
Animal Rescue Fund of Arkansas is a new name for an old rescue group in central Arkansas. We are the same old ARF people organized now as ARFA. The name changed, but the mission remains the same.
Adopting a friend
Note: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation.
