HAPPY TAILS... Arden's Arc has removed many cats and kittens from the streets to be placed into forever homes. We also neutered and returned several feral cats who are healthy and no longer adding to the feral cat population. We've been so busy saving animals, we haven't had time to share all the happy stories about the many pets we've placed into forever homes. But here are a few.
OUR FEATURED PET... We'd like to feature all our companion animals! Each one is special in their own way and they all need a home to call their own.
NEWS... PLEASE DONATE....EVERY DOLLAR WILL HELP!!! NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. REALLY, WE MEAN IT. SO IF YOU CAN SPARE EVEN A DOLLAR, PLEASE DONATE. DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. WHO WE ARE... Arden's Arc is an all breed animal rescue dedicated to saving dogs with special needs and reducing the feral cat population. In general, special needs means those dogs who may have physical, mental, or emotional issues. In most cases, these are the dogs no one else wanted. We have rescued and placed dogs with chronic diseases, orthopedic problems, fear aggression issues, as well as normal aging issues just to name a few. Of course we wouldn't turn away a dog simply because she doesn't have one of these special needs. We have rescued and placed many dogs whose only issue is not having a forever home. Arden's Arc has also joined the fight to help feral cats. We participate in the Trap-Neuter-Return program, a humane way to reduce the stray cat population. TNR means we catch the homeless cats from the streets, alleys, commercial/industrial locations, and anywhere else we find them. They are examined by a veterinarian, tested for contagious diseases, neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, dewormed, and given flea/tick preventative. After they recuperate from surgery, we return them to their outdoor environment. Cats who are friendly to humans (cats who once had an indoor home and have lost their way or were abandoned) or if they are young enough to be socialized, they will be placed in a home rather than returned to the street. This is a proven, humane way to control the stray cat population. It benefits the cats as well as the community. We can only rescue animals as fast as we receive donations to pay for their treatment and care. We volunteer our time. We desperately need donations from you. TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE LIVES!
ADOPTING A FRIEND... If you are interested in adopting any of our animals or in fostering for Arden's Arc, please send us an e-mail with your contact information and indicate whether you are interested in fostering or adopting a dog or cat. If adopting, please indicate which animal you are considering. We will promptly send an adoption/foster application to you. Keeping in mind we are an all-volunteer organization, promptly means as soon as we possibly can. Adoption fees vary depending on the type and age of the animal. Since we operate solely on donations, we certainly won't turn down any amount higher than the minimum adoption fee. In fact, we desperately need funds in order to keep saving lives, especially those animals that have been given up on simply because they need a little extra time, effort, and love.
BE A TEMPORARY FOSTER FAMILY... Arden's Arc relies on foster homes since there is no facility to house the animals we save. Right now we are desperately in need of foster families. A foster commitment can be as short as a week or as long as it takes to find a forever home. It's your choice. Any amount of time you can commit to providing a loving home environment will help save a life and will be greatly appreciated by the rescue and the pets you helped save. The rescue will take care of food and medical expenses. You just provide the home, care, and love. Please contact Arden's Arc for more information if you are considering fostering. We can discuss the program to see if it's something you want to try. We can't say it enough. No donation is too small and all donations are tax-deductible.
Come Visit Us... We do not have a shelter. Arden's Arc is an all-volunteer rescue and animals are housed at various foster homes. Contact us to arrange a visit with an animal. We will make every effort to accommodate your schedule.
