Sophie

If the Olympic Committee ever sanctions a “Snuggle Competition”, little Miss Sophie has the Gold Medal wrapped up. This girl loves a good lap!! But wait, there’s more!! She also runs with the speed and grace of a gazelle. Is there an Agility Title in her future? This girl’s potential is unlimited.

Sophie is a happy, one year old, 11 pound, spayed terrier mix with long legs, serious ears, and a “Phyllis Diller” hair style!! She is good with dogs and cats, very easy to walk, and friendly with all she meets (after some initial shyness). She would enjoy a playful companion or regular play dates with friends. House training is about 90% complete. She was a frightened, malnourished, lonely stray and we have promised her she will never suffer like that again. Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Animal Connections is an all-volunteer rescue group who matches homeless animals with people through our Foster-to-adoption program. Our foster families are located in Charlottesville and surroundings.
We are not formally affiliated with any animal shelter, although many of our rescued animals come from SW VA or local shelters. There are many wonderful dogs waiting for good homes.
The dogs shown here are in foster care. They often can be seen on weekends in Charlottesville at PET SUPPLIES PLUS
