PLEASE HELP A SENIOR DOG WITH A NEW START IN LIFE!

We want to announce a new program through All Star Pet Rescue designed to help more older dogs get out of the pound and into safe & loving homes. Thanks to a generous grant from the "100 Women Making a Difference" organization, we are pleased to announce our "Seniors For Seniors" program. We want to encourage more young at heart seniors to bring an older dog into their home. For a nominal adoption fee, a senior dog would come fully vetted along with the basic necessities a dog would need to get started out in their new lives. This includes a leash, a collar, an ID tag, food and water bowls, a comfy dog bed, some toys and treats and enough food for the first 2 months. Anyone over the age of 60 years who adopts a dog older than 7 years is eligible for this program. You will have a loyal companion to keep you company and you will be helping out a dog who is looking for a comfortable place to spend their twilight years. Come Visit Us

We will have some of our cuddly canines at Pet Valu in the Kings Shopping Center at 300 South Ave., Garwood, NJ. Come down and see our pups along with some friends from Companion Critters of Clark for our adoption events. Our hours are from noon until 2:30 PM. Our next adoption event here is scheduled for Saturday, July 31.

If you are interested in a particular animal, we recommend you send us an online application in advance as we do not release animals at our adoption events unless we have your approved application on file and such arrangements have been made.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PET VALU STORE FOR MORE INFORMATION! Pet Valu graciously allows us to use their space to hold adoption events and we do not want to burden their staff with inquiries intended for us.. They have no information on any of the animals we have for adoption. Please email us with any questions you might have.

Who We Are

All Star Pet Rescue is an all volunteer organization formed in April, 2006. We do not have a facility and are comprised solely of foster homes for homeless pets. Our mission is to network with other shelters and rescue groups to take in animals needing a new start. We do not discriminate based on breed, age or health status and only place the animals in loving and responsible homes. We also work to educate the public about the benefit of spaying or neutering their animals and the usefulness of microchipping. We receive no public funding and count on animal lovers to help provide the medical care and supplies necessary for the health, safety and comfort of our rescues. We are a 501c3 organization so your donations are tax deductible.

Adopting A Friend

All our pets are fully vetted prior to adoption which includes: up to date vaccines, a spay/neuter (if age appropriate) and a microchip. All our animals will be current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as well. It is easy to apply for one of our homeless animals - just click on the link for an online application. If you are approved we will arrange a home visit if feasible, and bring the pet to you to see if it would be a good match for both the adoptive home as well as the animal. We want our adoptions to be a lifelong bond and the home visit helps us determine that. Contact us if you want to meet one of our "All Star Pets" available for adoption.
