Adopting A Friend

Are you ready to adopt?

First, ask yourself these five questions:

1. Do I have the money?
The adoption fee is just the start. Can you provide quality food, safe toys, monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and routine vet care?

2. Do I have the time?
Dogs especially require training, active exercise, and socializing with the family.

3. Do I have a plan?
What will you do with your pet when you are at work? On vacation? If you have to move?

4. Do I have full agreement?
The entire family must be ready for a new pet, including any pets you already have.

5. Do I have the commitment?
Unlike children, your pet will rely on you every day for his/her entire life. Are you willing to provide a lifetime of care?

So, are you really ready to adopt?
