AFF is in desperate need of sponsors for some of our furbabies. If you cannot adopt or foster, consider sponsoring a pet in need. How will your money be spent for sponsoring an animal? Vet bills, medicine, food, toys, treats. Your donations are tax deductible. We will mention your name on the animal(s)' profile as the sponsor. We will send you a receipt for your taxes as well.
Here is our list of animals who are urgently in need of sponsorship. You can donate by using the donate button at the top of the page. Please make sure to put sponsor and the animal's name, or you can sponsor an animal by sending a check to Animal Friends Furever, Inc., P.O. Box 301, Warminster PA 18974. The last way to sponsor is to come visit us at Petco. We welcome you to come meet us in person, see the furbabies we have there and find out more about the animal(s) you are interested in sponsoring. Please check below for the address, time and dates we will be at PETCO.
AFF'S family and furbabies thank you for your support! Any questions, please email AFFRescue@aol.com or call Kim at 215-676-3318.
Tuffums, as mentioned above, was left in an apartment after spending 14 years with one person. Tuffums needs a sponsor to help pay for his teeth cleaning. He has bad dental issues and requires a complete cleaning. Tuffums is in a room alone except for Simon because the foster mom's cats are beating him up. He is sad and depressed and needs a foster home and sponsor.

SIMON
Simon - Hi. I'm Simon. I'm six years. old. I am good with other cats, dogs and kids. I am neutered up to date on shots and negative for FIV and leukemia. me and my friend Tuffums where left behind when our owner moved, we are very sad that someone did this to us. I have some medical problems, but these days who doesn't? seems I have an allergic reaction to something, but no one seems to know what. I got shots for it and they seemed to work. I have a great foster mom and I made myself at home, I am always looking for attention, I love being pet and will sit on my foster moms lap for several minutes before running off to explore some more. I jump on everything to check it out I am quit the explorer I also love to sit on the window and look outside. I lay on my foster moms bed in front of the window when the sun is shining and sleeps with with her or on top of her. unfortunately my foster moms cats do not like me or Tuffums and we have to be kept in a room. We are very unhappy being in a room we want to be with humans all the time..

TUFFUMS- SPONSORED BY GALA :-)
TUFFUMS is a lucky boy he will have his teeth cleaned thanx to his sponsor Gala!!! THANK YOU GALA!!!

LOLA
Lola - Pretty little Lola. Lola has been with us since she was 5 weeks old. Her brother and sister got adopted. Unfortunately, Lola has not found her furever home yet. Why? We cannot figure it out. Lots of people are interested, but none have been a match. Little Lola is healthy except for her ears. We need Lola to be seen by a vet to have her ears cleaned out. She will need to be anesthetized since she is not cooperative in having her ears cleaned! We are not sure how much this will cost. Little Lola might be little but don't try to clean her ears out yourself.

Aff rescued 4 blk lab/pointer mix puppies from being gassed in Georgia. Unfortunately these poor babies are not well. Pongo the only male was having labored breathing he had to be rushed to the ER at midnight on May 25th . we did not even have him 24 hours. This is shameful and awful. these poor babies at only 11 weeks old have suffered so much already. after there 12 hour ride from GA being away from there mom ( who went to another rescuer who is keeping her) and then poor Pongo bein taken from his sisters. Poor Pongo is in an oxygen tank, on med's through IV and getting x rays. Pongo had a trachea wash today and a test for distemper. We took the three girls ( Rosie, Daisy and peanut) to the vet . the vet said that 2 are ok the other is on her way to the ER. she will need to be in oxygen and have Med's through IV like her brother.
Before I could even sent this out I got a call from the foster mom Rosie and Daisy where having labored breathing and throwing up they are on there way to the U of P now. they all have pneumonia. Weather it is from kennel cough or distemper we will not know for a few days. The estimate so far for Pongo's vet bill is $3000.00 to $4000.00. It will be the same most likely for Rosie, Daisy and Peanut. AFF is desperate for donations!!! The 3 girls need to be moved to ICU but we need $1000.00 at least as a deposit. If we can not get this today I am afraid the unthinkable will happen!!! This is awful and I don't think I will be able to live with myself, all I wanted to do was save these pups from being gassed!! We can not pay a bill that will be $20000.00 there is no way. We have all of them in the hospital with a bill already for just Pongo of $3000.00 to $4000.00 it will cost $700.00 each for the 3 girls to stay the night. We have no way to pay the bills. We are told we have to wait 2 to 5 days for the distemper test to come back, If it is not Distemper they could be fine. Pongo was actually up and playing which was good. But AFF is stuck!! we will have to make a decision tomorrow we can not afford to keep them in the hospital for 2 to 5 days. This is the hardest thing ever!!!!! the 4 people that make up AFF are devastated!!!
Unless we can get lots and lots of donations ,I don't even know how we will pay the current bill. We are a 501 c 3 non for profit and count on donations from kind people. We where told these babies where healthy, They spent 2 weeks at a vets office in GA and where not treated the Anti biotic's they where on we are told are not for kennel cough they are very skinny looks like they where no even fed and have bellies full of worms which is the least of there problems now.
AFF needs your kind donations to help pay the current vet bill which is $3000.00 to $4000.00 for Pongo and estimated $2100.00 for the girls to spent the night in the ER. Please any amount will help!!
you can donate using the donate button at www.aff.petfinder.com or by postal mail P.O. box 301 Warminster Pa 18974, Please write puppies so we can put it right to there bill.
Or send money straight to the vet hospital
Ryan Veterinary Hospital
3900 Spruce St.
Phila Pa 19104.
Please write on the envelope business department and inside that the money is for the lab mix puppies with Animal friends furever so they will put the money right on the babies bill.
We understand if you can not donate and just ask you to pass this along and keep your fingers crossed and keep Pongo , Rosie, Daisy and little peanut in your thoughts to help them get better so they can have a furever home they so much deserve!! As of now this is the amount needed to pay off the bill. Tomorrow we will have to make a decision on what to do with the pups. we could not keep them in the hospital for 2 to 5 days. PLEASE PLEASE ANY DONATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS ON WHO WOULD HELP PAY A BILL!!!!! WE TOOK THESE BABIES TO SAVE THEM PLEASE HELP US!!!!
Any questions please call Kim 215-676-3318 or email AFFRescue@aol.com Please excuse my rambling with lots of spelling errors I have not slept and am devastated for these poor babies. Thank you from all the babies and AFF.
Thank You.
ROSIE/ BLACKIE
Hi everyone. A long, hard, tiring, stressful journey has come to an end for the 4 lab mix puppies from the gassing shelter in GA. I am so excited and happy all the pups will be ok!!! They have a long road of recovery ahead of them, but will live. 3 of them are in their new homes with their new families. AFF would like to thank Dr. Hopkins, Dr.Masenco, and Mr. Zaron for adopting these babies and taking over their vet care. We visited with the families and puppies and it was amazing. The puppies and people are all in love and these little puppies are so happy and playful. We would also like to thank the U of Penn Vet Hospital for all their wonderful help and support through this journey. These puppies were meant to come here. Mom is also doing well and was adopted by a woman who runs a pointer rescue, who we would also like to thank for getting the puppies from GA and paying the bill there for them. Our vet bill was not what we thought it would be since the vets who adopted the pups took over their care. So we owe $2700.00. Of that we have almost $700.00 so we just need your kind donations to pay off the $700.00. AFF would also like to thank Best Friends in Utah for helping us with a part of the vet bill and all the people who have donated so far. We would also like to thank Maggie the foster mommy and Libby and Mara for spending the night in the ER and driving all over to get them where they needed to go.The family at AFF is furever grateful for all of the kindness and help from everyone who rallied to save these pups and everyone who supported us through this. Here are new pics of the 3 pups who wher adopted. It makes me cry, but finally happy tears....

Duncan Update 4/11/09
Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. Its me Duncan, I am the sweet boy found on the streets that my rescuers fell in love with. Well i have come a long way from a dirty un - trusting street cat. I am doing well in my foster home. I have some issues with the older cats , my rescuers do not know why. I should go to a home with kids at least 10, I seem to love the kitten my foster mom just took in to foster. my rescuers think i was a bird at some point, yes you heard right.my foster mom was fixing a kitty cage a nice big one with 3 stories for the kitten well i took it over. that right it is mine now, i do not want to come out of it, i am calmer and very happy in my cage. My foster mom tries to get me out to play ball sometimes,i will but mostly i like my cage, unless i am showing off for the little kitten. My new home should have a family who only wants one cat, or has a younger female. My new home will need to have a cage for me. so just think how lucky you will be to have a cat-bird. I am a beautiful boy with silky fur and a great personality my rescuers believe i either lived with a dog at one time, or having the whole house reminded me of being outside and i was so stressed out that i lashed out at the other cats.
Update 1/1/09
Hi, let me introduce myself – I’m the new and improved Duncan!! I was rescued from the streets in a bad neighborhood and am now living in foster care. I am a very, very sweet and affectionate young man (under 2 years old) in need of quite a bit of attention and affection – what young guy doesn't’t want attention and affection? If you sit down to hold me I will jump into your lap, make a nest and curl up for purring, sleep and snuggling. Since I am still a growing boy, I eat everything my foster mom gives me – I always clean my bowl. I will make a fuss if you put me down too soon and do have a willful streak about me. I would be best placed in a home without dogs and kids should be at least 12 years old or older. I may be ok with another cat or two after proper introductions but I was never taught cat etiquette and I have grabbed the other cats at my foster home around the neck – I’m kinda frisky that way. I also behave this way toward my foster mom when I want attention – I can show signs of neediness. I have claws but am not aggressive – just young and still learning how to be gentler with them. I have not intentionally hurt anyone – I’m strictly a lover who hasn’t mastered his manners yet. My foster mom is teaching me claw manners and says I am quite smart, curious and learn well. I am also learning to keep to my scratching post and kitty toys – staying away from objects that kitties shouldn’t scratch. I would love a special family to be a part of or a special companion – if you are looking for a handsome feline like me please fill out an adoption application at www.aff.petfinder.com. Any questions please call Kim at 215-676-3318 or email AFFRescue@aol.com. Have a purr-fect day.
Hi Everyone!
I'm Duncan. I'm a street cat from an awful neighborhood. My rescuers were dropping off supplies to the kind lady feeding me and all the other strays in the neighborhood, and I came running up onto the porch wanting to come in from the cold and wanting some love. I tried to climb up my rescuer's legs to be held. I have been to the vet and he told me that I am between 18 months and 2 years old. I am neutered, up-to-date on shots and negative for FIV and FeLV. I was also dewormed. The doctor said I am in good health. My rescuers can say only one thing about me - I am the sweetest cat they ever met! I am a lap cat; I don't ever want to be away from people.
I did not mind the dog who lives with the kind lady who fed me, at least while I was on the porch. But I would fight with some of the other cats in the neighborhood sometimes. They started it though. I'm also fine with kids. After all, they have a lap for me too. My rescuers thought they had a foster home for me; unfortunately, it fell through, so I am staying in a garage. I get some attention and am warm, but I need a real home to go to. Please fill out an adoption/foster application for me at www.aff.petfinder.com. Any questions, email AFFRescue@aol.com or call Kim at 215-676-3318. I told my rescuers they need better pictures of me! I am so handsome the old picture doesn't do me justice. You can watch the video to see how friendly I am, and my rescuers will work on getting those pictures soon. Meow.
DUNCAN
Update Duncan 5/23/09
Hi yes it is me the handsome Duncan. I am doing very well in my foster home. Since i have been here a few things have been found out about me. I need a home with no other pets. My foster mom and rescuers think i was attacked and i can nor be trusted with other animals. I do enjoy the kittens my foster mommy has , but i will be best as a only boy. I will be the perfect apartment cat. I also need a cage, my rescuers laugh a cat in a cage? What do i think I'm a bird? Well yes and no. i do not do well in big open spaces after living on the scary streets i am afraid so i like my cage to be in i like to sleep in it eat play everything. My foster mommy gets me out to play once a day or will sit with me and leave the door open sometimes i will venture out but other times i just stay in my cage.
If you live in an apartment that is just big enough for one special kitty I'm your man. Fill out an adoption application at www.aff.petfinder.com any questions email AFFRescue@aol.com or call Kim 215-676-3318 just tell her Duncan told you to call MEOW!!
