Our petite Marsha has been in boarding for several months now due to the slowness of adoptions in this economy and is feeling the stress of long-term boarding. We would love to see her in a foster home where she could enjoy the comfort and loving situation that she deserves while she waits for her forever home. To learn more about her, click on her photo.
You can help!!!
Don't buy a pet from a pet store. This only supports the puppy/kitten mill business. Save a life and adopt from a rescue group or shelter.
Adopt A Homeless Animal ("AAHA") is a pit bull rescue dedicated to the rescue, welfare and adoption of pit bulls in need. We are currently looking for wonderful volunteers - dedicated persons who would be interested in helping our organization grow and flourish. If you might be interested in volunteering your time, talents and efforts, please contact Russell Ashton at arashton@gmail.com. We would appreciate any help you might be able to give us, regardless of its nature: fostering, fund-raising, accounting, information technology, etc. Our greatest current need is volunteers who can foster dogs while they wait for their forever home. We are also looking for volunteers who can visit any of our dogs who may be in boarding. Although most of our dogs are in foster homes in certain situations we may have to board a couple dogs. Our dogs stay at a lovely kennel in Reisterstown. We would be so grateful to anyone willing to come out and visit with our dogs - take them for a walk, play with them, and just love them!!!! They are all so dear and sweet and affectionate and so appreciative of any loving attention. It would be a most rewarding and fulfilling experience for any dog lover and you will
also meet a great group of people devoted to helping animals.
Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support!
Who We Are
Adopt a Homeless Animal is a group of volunteers dedicated to helping American Staffordshire Terriers, Pitbull Terriers and mixed breeds find a loving forever home. We provide veterinary care ensuring all of our rescue dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and deemed in good health by our vet. Additionally, all of our adult dogs receive basic obedience training and when necessary more intensive training with a qualified animal behaviorist. We promote responsible pet ownership by educating the community. We have many wonderful animals who are waiting patiently for a forever home.
Adopting a friend
An approved application, vet check and home check are required to finalize adoptions. There is a $200 adoption fee donation to help offset expenses for vaccinations, spay/neuter, other medical costs, feeding and boarding. Adoption fees are recycled to continue to help homeless animals.
