Sparks is the cutest little guy ever! His playful, fun loving personality is sure to win you over too! Sparks loves to play fetch, run, and wrestle with his humans. At 13 pounds he is a little guy, but don't tell him that, he thinks he's just like the big dogs. He is a hardy fellow too, and will happily keep your yard mole, mouse, and gopher free.

THIS HOLIDAY SEASON THERE IS NO BETTER TIME TO BRING A NEW FAMILY MEMBER INTO YOUR HOME! Why do some of the dogs have reduced adoption fees?
We are currently so full that we are having to regretfully turn away dogs that could use our help. To help encourage adoptions we have reduced the fees on several of our dogs. The wonderful dogs with reduced fees are the ones housed in our main home, rather than a foster home. There is nothing "wrong" with these incredible dogs, they just don't have foster homes of their own!
Did you know that if you send us the UPC code and the original receipt for any bag of Dick Van Pattens Natural Balance Foods that it helps to feed a rattie in need? Please send us your UPC and ORIGINAL receipt so we can feed more Rat Terriers! Thank You!

We are also in need of new or clean used small blankets, collars or harnesses, leashes, crates, kennels, and yes TOYS! If you would like to donate any of those items the dogs would be so appreciative (and we would too)!

WY Rat Terriers Rescue is a not for profit volunteer run rescue. We strive to provide a safe, loving, home environment for Rat Terriers who are abandoned, abused, neglected, or homeless while they await a safe, loving, lifelong home of their own. We are committed to educating current and prospective owners on the special needs and gentle temperament of Rat Terriers in order to promote responsible ownership and to prevent future displaced terriers.

Adopting a friend
We are NOT first come first served. Sometimes there are several people interested in the same dog... that's ok! We want to match each dog to the right person! Our goal is to find the best home for each and every dog in our care. We do have an application and interview process that helps in fitting the dog to the family. We can and do adopt our dogs out of state when needed, it's all about the home they get to go to!

We are located in Eastern Wyoming. We do not have a shelter or kennels. All our dogs are in a foster home situation to get the love and training they need and deserve.
