Gunner is a great dog who is well-behaved, attentive and friendly. He is a handsome brindle who is young and eager to please. Gunner was brought to us by the PD but went unclaimed. He is ready to move into his new home!

Who We Are
Laramie Peak Humane Society is a non-profit organization that serves companion animals in Douglas, WY and the surrounding area. The purpose of LPHS is to protect, care for and provide for the reasonable and humane disposition of homeless dogs and cats in our community. This organization assists care givers and pet owners in protecting, caring for and treating animals in a compassionate and humane manner.
We work hard to educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering to help keep the number of unwanted dogs and cats down, as well as advocating for the humane treatment of animals. If you have any questions or suggestions, please give us a call at 307-358-6475; and you can always come visit us at 612 N. 2nd Street in Douglas. We are open Wednesday through Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.
Adopting a friend
Laramie Peak Humane Society has an adoption form which can be filled out at the shelter or emailed to prospective parties. The application can be returned prior to traveling to the Humane Society so that personal and veterinary references can be completed in advance, expediting the adoption process. We discourage site-unseen adoptions. Our staff encourages pet counseling and assists adopters in providing information on the animals and their temperament. All applications must be approved. The adoption fee for dogs is $50.00 and cats are $40.00. This fee includes the animals rabies vaccinations, their spay or neuter and their standard shots. If a puppy or kitten is too young to be altered prior to their adoption, the fee is $50 plus an additional $75.00 deposit which is refunded with proof the animal has been altered. If one of our animals does not work out in the home after the family has made efforts to work with it, we ask that it be returned to our facility.
