Our pet of the month introduces herself...Tilly - Tilly has a bittersweet story for coming into our Rescue. Tilly's family is a Marine who is recovering from a brain injury, which was caused by an anti-aircraft attack on the C-130 he was piloting. Tilly was given to him to help with his recovery, but unfortunately his medical condition is worsening and he will soon not be able to care for her as he feels he should. So we at WBHR are looking to find Tilly her new, forever home.

One extra special boy who needs help!
Toby isn’t just your average 5 year old canine. Toby is a laid back basset hound who came into Wyoming Basset Hound Rescue last month, shortly before Christ-mas. He loves people, kids, other dogs and even cats. Toby is great on rides and doesn’t dig or bark. So what is the problem? Toby’s right elbow has fragmented medial coronoid process or, in layman’s terms, one of the points on his ulna bone, at the joint, has failed to unite with the ulna and is free floating. As a result Toby can have severe pain at times and at other times, he displays no pain at all. But the problem won’t fix itself or go away. Toby will be having surgery on Wednesday, February 3rd to work to correct this problem and his left elbow will be looked at also, as initial x-rays showed it to be at risk as well. Wyoming Basset Hound Rescue is in need of funds to assist with these surgeries. If you would like to donate towards Toby’s surgery, please contact Holly Moen at (307)272-8089, email bassetrescue@tctwest.net or simply mail your donation to WBHR, P.O. Box 2131, Cody, WY 82414. All donations will be acknowledged and any inquiries into adopting Toby are being accepted as well.
