All of our dogs are very special and deserve special homes. Please look at them all before making a final decision.
A small family run group that rescues shelties & collies to place in approved, loving, forever homes. We specialize in socialization issues, confidence building and helping them become a well rounded companion. We are non-profit and survive on donations only, so any donations are very welcomed and appreciated. We can always use donations to help cover vet costs, heartworm preventative medicine and long term care for the seniors we bring into our program. We could always use food (Chicken Soup for the Dogs Lover's Soul or Nutro Natural Choice), collars (Martingale or Greyhound), leashes, Frontline Plus, bedding, old towels and blankets.
Donate a kuranda bed: We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like to donate a bed to us, click here.
Adopting a dog is a life long commitment and a huge responsibility. We make every effort to match the right dog with the right family. If for some reason the adoption does not work out, the dog will come back to K9 Furbabies Rescue for further evaluation and possible placement elsewhere. Dogs, like humans, have unique personalities and sometimes personalities clash, even between dogs and humans.
PLEASE THINK ABOUT WHETHER YOUR CURRENT LIFESTYLE WILL ACCOMMODATE A NEW PET BEFORE CONTACTING US AND COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. We don't want to pass up a wonderful home for a particular pet if you decide to back out of the adoption.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT AS GIFTS!
If interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email for an Adoption Application. We do complete reference and home checks prior to placement of any of our dogs. All members of the household must be aware of the possible adoption and present at the time of the home visit. Current animals in the household must be either spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.
All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines (rabies, DHPP & Bordetella), on heartworm and flea preventative, and have been spayed/neutered prior to placement. We want our dogs and new adopters to enjoy the first several weeks together with as little stress as possible. To help with this, all dogs are bathed & groomed prior to placement so that this does not have to be done until the dog is comfortable with its new owners.
Although all the dogs have been seen by a vet, we encourage you to take your new companion to your vet for a check up as a measure of comfort for yourself. This also enables the vet and dog to get to know one another under less stressfull circumstances than if the dog was ill or injured.
We do request donations for any of our dogs to help defray vet costs and help other more needy dogs. $175 for 9 years and older; $225 for 1 - 9 years; $275 for under 1 year.
As we foster in private homes, visitation is by appointment only.
