Who We Are

We are a local Humane Society established March 2001. Our city's shelter is worked by the Humane Society's volunteers and a full time dog warden. We are dedicated in trying to save every animal that comes into the shelter. We are an upbeat and hopeful team.

Monthly Meetings: 4th Thursday every month
Call the shelter for dates, time and location 304-265-4215

We welcome new, hardworking, and honest volunteers. The shelter needs daily help with cleaning, feeding, walking, socializing, grooming, maintenance and other jobs. The Humane Society would like some dedicated people to help assist with fundraising, providing foster homes, transportation to vet offices and rescues, and public education.
