The mission of the Doddridge County Humane Society is to establish and manage a no kill animal shelter that educates people on spay and neuter. Develop humane attitudes towards animals and find forever homes for all unwanted animals.
FUNDING/OPERATIONS
The society operates strictly off the contributions and donations of the community, along with a few small grants including the Ruth Hornbrooke Foundation. Donations from "Friends of the Society" also play an important part of the society's funding. Volunteers are the backbone of the organization to help get things accomplished. We also participate in local bazaars and other community events.
PROGRAMS TO HELP THE COMMUNITY
We currently have a Low Income Assistance Spay and Neuter Program for the residents of Doddridge County.
VOLUNTEERS
We are a strictly volunteer organization, no one is paid for their devotion, at least not in dollars, maybe in doggie kisses and purrs!
Become a "Friend" by making a donation and receive a bi-monthly newsletter on all the Humane Society's happenings. Become a volunteer and help with events and shelter operations. We currently need donations of dog kennels, dog houses, and dog food
