TIGER

Tigers adoption fee is sponsered. He is free to an approved home! Tiger is 3 and a half years old . He has been here since 4-08. There is no reason why. He is very loving , good with kids and dogs. He was house broke but may need a refresher . . .



WHO WE ARE

The shelter is a county facility and we are NOT a no-kill shelter. Our shelter is always at capacity and we need help getting our furry friends homes FAST. Our conscientious and knowledgable staff is very helpful and strives to adopt as many animals as possible. The shelter is very rescue friendly and WILL adopt to out of state residents, but Brooke County residents have preference.

ADOPTING A FRIEND

All potential adopters are required to fill out a pre-adoption form for any cat or dog they are interested in adopting. Most of the time this application can be processed in 1 day but sometimes we can do it the same day! We generally do not adopt to outdoor only homes but do make a few exceptions. -



DOGS

Dogs are $100.00.
This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery, shots, deworming, and a heartworm test.
There is an additional $3.00 fee for a county dog license if you are a Brooke County resident.



CATS

Cats are $85.00.
This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery, shots, deworming, and a FeLV/FIV test.


WISH LIST
REALLY needed is some crates. Medium to Large crates. Both airline carriers and metal crates.Always appreciated is dog treats, cat treats, dog food, cat food,blankets,towels, leashes,tie outs,spray bottles,cleaning supplies,office supplies....the more we get donated the more money we have to help the animals in need.

INK CARTRIDGE/OLD CELL PHONE RECYCLING PROGRAM By donating them to the Animal Shelter not only can you keep them out of the landfills you will also be helping us to raise money. Just drop them off at the Shelter and we will do the rest.


PURINA REBATE PROGRAM The animal shelter is also participating in the Purina Rebate Program. By redeeming the weight circles/proofs of purchase from Purina cat and dog food, we receive much appreciated rebates. The weight circle can be found on the side of the bag towards the top. If you feed your cats or dogs ANY brand of Purina food, please cut out these circles and either mail them or bring them to the shelter.

Donate a Bed These things are great. I really wish we could get a few more. Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda beds, but we do not have enough for everyone.These beds get them off our concrete floor they are forced to sleep on. ( they do get blankets) Really helps with recent surgery, sick or elderly pets!! If you would like to donate a bed for another one of our shelter dogs at discounted price, please click here.

The shelter is located just off Allegheny Street in Follansbee, West Virginia. Allegheny Street intersects WV State Route 2 almost directly across from the Follansbee Fire Dept. Coming south you will turn left at the light onto Allegheny Street; coming north you turn right. Follow Allegheny street approximately 1 mile and watch for shelter sign on the left. Turn there.



We are open to the Public Tue-Sun 12:00-4:00 pm Closed Mondays and Holidays, But if these hours dont work for you and you are serious about adopting we WILL work with you!
