Our shelter is filled with many wonderful dogs and cats that would make a great addition to your family . Please stop in and visit with us to find your new best friend !!


Our website is updated as quickly as possible in order for our animals to find loving homes. Feel free to call us for more information on any one of the wonderful animals in our shelter who are waiting for their forever homes. Please remember to spay or neuter your pet !



WHO WE ARE

The shelter is a county facility and we are NOT a no-kill shelter. Our shelter is always at capacity and we need help getting our furry friends homes FAST. Our conscientious and knowledgable staff is very helpful and strives to adopt as many animals as possible. The shelter is very rescue friendly and WILL adopt to out of state residents, but Brooke County residents have preference.

ADOPTING A FRIEND

All potential adopters are required to fill out a pre-adoption form for any cat or dog they are interested in adopting. Most of the time this application can be processed in 1 day but sometimes we can do it the same day! We generally do not adopt to outdoor only homes but do make a few exceptions. -



DOGS

Dogs are $100.00.
This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, deworming, and a heartworm test.
There is an additional $3.00 fee for a county dog license if you are a Brooke County resident.



CATS

Cats are $85.00.
This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, deworming, and a FeLV/FIV test.



WISH LIST
Always appreciated are dog treats, cat treats, dog food, cat food ,blankets, towels, leashes ,tie outs, spray bottles, cleaning supplies ,office supplies....the more donations we receive , the more money we have to help the many animals in need.




PURINA REBATE PROGRAM The animal shelter is also participating in the Purina Rebate Program. By redeeming the weight circles / proofs of purchase from Purina cat and dog food, we receive much appreciated rebates. The weight circle can be found on the side of the bag towards the top. If you feed your cats or dogs ANY brand of Purina food, please cut out these circles and either mail them or bring them to the shelter. Thank You !

Donate a Bed Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda beds, but we do not have enough for everyone. These beds allow the animals to sleep off of the concrete floor they are forced to sleep on ( they do get blankets) . They are really helpful with sick or elderly pets, or pets that have had recent surgery. We have moved to a new location! We are now at the south end of Beech Bottom. From route 2, take a left onto Mac Barnes Drive and you will come to our big, blue building.



We are open to the Public Tue-Sun 10:00 am - 4:00 pm We are closed Mondays and Holidays, but if these hours don't work for you and you are serious about adopting, we WILL work with you !
