THE ROLE OF THE MARION COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
To advocate for animals that reside within Marion County through community involvement, awareness, rehoming, and education (C.A.R.E)
Most of our animals come from a bad past which may include abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. This is why we are so particular about who our animals go home with. If you would like to adopt a companion animal, one that will be part of your family, please come and visit us.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE
If you are interested in adopting a pet, come and meet the animals. Decide which animal may be right for your family, then fill out a pre-adoption application. All bully breed type dogs require a home visit prior to adoption.
PROCEDURE FOR LEAVING AN ANIMAL AT THE SHELTER FOR ADOPTION
Persons dropping a pet at the shelter must pay a surrender fee of $30.00 and show proof of shots.
For us to continue helping the animals in our county we need volunteers, donations, and support from the community. If you feel that you could help our shelter in any way, please feel free to call.
