Wisconsin Doberman Rescue is dedicated to providing foster care for needy Dobermans and finding the best possible 'forever' home for all dogs that become involved in our program. Wisconsin Doberman Rescue, Inc. (WDR) is a corporation comprised of individuals volunteering their time, money, love, and efforts to rescue Doberman Pinschers, whether purebred or not, who have been abandoned, or surrendered by their owners either to WDR or to an animal shelter/humane society. WDR is always seeking volunteers who love dogs in general, and who have a particular love for the Dobe. WDR welcomes and encourages your interest in volunteering!

Adopting a friend
In addition to a written application, and reference check, we require a home visit prior to placement of a dog in your home. A written adoption agreement in also required at the time of placement. Applications are available by emailing

Wanted ~ Foster Homes and Volunteers
Volunteering a little bit of your time helps a needy Dobe in countless ways. WDR needs volunteers to provide a variety of assistance, from publicity efforts via flyers and newsletters, to responding to inquiries via phone or internet, to attending ‘dog events’ either with or without a Dobe, to transporting dogs. We especially need good foster homes! The types of assistance are only limited by your imagination! Together we can and do find ‘forever homes’ for very deserving Dobes… ContactWDR@aol.com
