FFARI stands for First Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. I thought up the name for this organization because we believe that a person’s first true friend is a dog, at least that is what our story is about. This is the most important endeavor that we have embarked on and truly are happy doing what we are doing. Sometimes it has its sad moments, but when you see the true face-to-face of a rescue dog and know in your heart that he or she knows that you are there to help them its nothing short of a twinkle in their eyes. Then, the second part of the story is when we find them a forever home with the right person, then its simply called MAGIC.
FFARI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Where the welfare of the animals always comes first. Our goal is to place dogs in forever homes, carefully with our adoption procedures and policies, whereby the adopting party and dog are both happy. FFARI helps all dogs regardless of their differences!

MISSION: We are a No Kill Rescue. The adoption process is designed to match appropriate homes with appropriate dogs. While many dogs may be attractive to the eye, we are very careful to understand the lifestyle of each adopter since we clearly understand the individual dogs in our care and not all dog breeds are the same. Our goal is to place dogs in forever homes where the adopting party and dog's are both happy! We look forward to working with each and every individual. We are all passionate about helping animals, and we celebrate when we are able to make a difference.
First Friends Animal Rescue Inc’s policy on adoption is:
To Start: Email me at: pensjackpack1@att.net for our adoption questionnaire.
· After review, a FFARI Rescue representative will make initial contact with you to discuss via email or phone call, to answer any questions you might have, or we may have about your search for the right dog.
· We will require a vet reference. (We are happy to refer you to a vet if needed for future!)
· We DO require a home visit. We’ll arrange this at your convenience. We’d like all family members present when we come to see where our dog might live.
· If you make it this far, we’ll start introducing you to dogs we feel would best fit your lifestyle.
· Our adoption fees are: $300.00 adult dogs, $200.00 seniors 8 yrs+, $325.00 puppies under a yr old.
· Your adoption fees merely pay the dogs vet bills!
· Your dog will come fully vetted, altered, UTD on shots, heartworm free, and micro chipped for id.
· We have a LIFETIME return policy.
