Langlade County Humane Society is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors , a staff & the help of many generous volunteers.Our main goal is to find safe, appropriate homes for stray and unwanted animals.

We are located in Antigo Wisconsin, in the beautiful Northwoods of Langlade county. If you are passing through, why not stop and visit our furry friends at our shelter? Adopting a friend

ADOPTION FEE, DOG OR PUPPY, Already altered or will be altered at the Antigo Veterinary Clinic: fee is $127.00

Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, Rabies & Distemper vaccination & Langlade County Dog License if needed.

If the animal is not already altered, the adopter must sign a contract to have the animal altered within 30 days of adoption or at the age of 7 months at the latest if the animal is too young for altering within 30 days. The adopter must take the animal to a veterinary clinic to have the Rabies Vaccination given (unless the dog is current on Rabies vaccination). The adopter pays for the Rabies vaccination at the veterinary clinic, then gives a copy of the Rabies Certificate to the LCHS office . After receiving the copy of the Rabies Certificate, LCHS will give the adopter a certificate to redeem for spay or neuter surgery to be done at Antigo Veterinary Clinic (provided by LCHS & a generous discount from the Antigo Veterinary Clinic ).

If the cat is not altered already, the adopter must sign a contract to have the animal altered within 30 days or at the age of 7 months at the latest if the animal is too young for altering within 30 days. The adoptor must take the cat to a veterinary clinic to have the rabies vaccination given (unless the cat is current on its rabies vaccination). The adopter pays for the rabies vaccination at the veterinary clinic & then gives a copy of the Rabies Certificate to LCHS. After receiving a copy of the Rabies Certificate, LCHS will give the adopter a certificate to redeem for spay /neuter surgery to be done at the Antigo Veterinary Clinic (provided by the Langlade County Humane Society & a generous discount from the Antigo Veterinary Clinic).

Directions to our Shelter :
Hwy 64 is 5th Avenue, Antigo's downtown area. Turn North onto Clermont St. Follow it all the way down a mile or more. Our shelter is on the left side of Clermont St ( 2204 Clermont St..) You can't miss our new sign. Hope to see YOU soon!
