Who We Are

"Domestic Cat Rescue is Fox Valley's only no kill orphan animal shelter saving pets since 1993!!" Known and trusted in Wisconsin's Fox River Valley area, Domestic Cat Rescue has saved thousands of animal's lives. Domestic Cat Rescue is unique in that our philosophy is that all pets are worth saving even if they have behavioral or medical needs!!
Thousands of animals have been placed in forever, loving homes because of our efforts. We have been a home-based grooming, boarding and animal sanctuary since 1993. We appreciate the tireless efforts of our volunteers! We could not do it without them. We are dedicated to saving homeless, abandoned and special needs pets.
We have many cats and kittens available for adoption as well as dogs, puppies, and birds. Some cats and kittens are available to see at PET SUPPLIES PLUS, corner of Richmond and Northland in Appleton, WI. They are open 7 days a week from 9:00A.M. to 9:00 P.M. No appointment is needed to see our beautiful cats and kittens there. We ask that you purchase your pet supplies there!
We are a unique NO-KILL facility that is 100% privately funded and is run through the kindness and compassion of our wonderful volunteers. All donations go directly to the pets: to buy the food, supplies, medications and veterinary treatments for the homeless animals in our care. If you would like to be a part of the difference, adopt, donate, find out how else you can help, please contact domesticcatrescue@yahoo.com or call (920)757-6402 for more information. Adopt A Friend!

Adoption fees: We make it easy... no confusing pricing!! Most cats are $50.00. Kittens are $100.00. Dogs and puppies are priced individually.
All adult adoptions (over 6 months) include spay or neuter, rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, (FeLv/Fiv testing for cats) worming and grooming. All other adoptions (under 6 months) include; (feline leukemia and FIV testing for cats), rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations, (age appropriate) worming and grooming! Birds, and small animals are priced on an individual basis. Adoption fees may be higher, for certain "SPECIAL NEEDS" animals.

We do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. You must have an approved application to adopt from us. Please submit an adoption application, and we will notify you if your application is approved.
Please note: We do not "HOLD" an animal based on an approved application, as we many times have more than one approved application per adoptable pet. We highly recommend calling ahead of time, to make sure the pet you are inquiring about is still available and to let personnel know that you are on your way. After receiving notification of an approved application, the approved applicant can then pay the adoption fee, in order for the adoption to be finalized.
Please be advised that we do background checks on all submitted applications.
In order to ensure the best homes for our rescued pets, we reserve the right to deny any adoption application, at any given time.

FROM HWY.41: Take the Northland Ave. OO/15 exit. Head West towards Greenville until you get to McCarthy Road (Harley Davidson Shop), turn right, continue on McCarthy until the end of the road. Turn left, that street is Broadway which is the same as Highway JJ. We are down 1 1/2 miles on the left hand side. Look for the "Little Squirt" wiener dog sign.
