Thyme and Sage Ranch
Our Featured Pet...
Puppy Mill Puppies---We are on a mission to close them down!!!!!!Please support our efforts and adopt from us vs a pet store or backyard breeder. We have blocked out the demand for puppy brokers and are getting as many out as possible to reduce numbers and eventially close them down. This is a long, tiring process. Please support our mission and efforts by adopting one into a pampered home they could never have known existed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These have been neglected and we are currently grooming and reviewing if any health issues. Will post soon!!!! UPDATE-many are BLIND or NEAR BLIND-posting pics soon!!!!! This family was moving to KY and was going to shoot these dogs. 10 have been adopted.
MANY SAY IT TAKES MONTHS TO HAVE A MILL DOG BECOME ADOPTABLE_FALSE
LOVE AND KINDNESS PREVAILS ALL!!!!!!! Here is a recent email from a wonderful lady who adopted three:
Hey Jennifer-
You are probably sitting down to check e-mail, this is good because
you 'ain't gonna believe what's going on here!' We are making
unbelievable progress!
Buelah- also now known as Rumba, the small vacuum that works by
itself, bumps into things and then turns and goes another way. What a
sweetheart. Vet checks last Thr. All hearts beating well. B very frequently, when taken outside, will poop and pee when told to.
Loves to stand and get scratches.
Mandy- (Makay) The most scared to start with. All now bark, Mandy
started it and when the other girls and I come back from our walk she
usually stands with her feet against the fence, tips her head back and
howls. She is a stitch. She will come to me, very cautiously, to lick
my fingers, and she will do it over ad over. I put a dragging leash on
her and she runs from the outside pen to the door to get in. Went for
a short walk with the others yesterday. Last night I lay with her under
the table and held her head in my hand while I pet her. She fell
asleep. I was just going to leave so she doesn't think every time I
pet her I'm going to grab her and pick her up. As I started to slide
backwards, (she was lying on her side), she spread her back legs for me
to scratch her tummy!! Couldn't believe it. Of course had to stay and
pet her for another 10 minutes. Sometimes when she's out with the
leash following, I swear she jumps up and kicks her feet in joy. So
fun to watch. She has made the most dramatic progress.
Pyxie, (Nadeen), also went for a short walk. She isn't confident
enough to do the 2 porch stairs to get in the house yet but she is
trying hard. Also doing well as far as not shaking when I hold her and
staying (if she is slightly cornered) so I can pick her up.
I was totally unprepared for this amazing progress. They have never
messed in their crate, even yesterday when I was gone unexpectedly, for
8 hours. What little blessings these girls are. I know God is
overseeing this project. Rita
THANK YOU for all your donations, support, dog walking, kennel cleaning, and grooming.
We are EXPANDING_120 acres and our very own building. (Food room-Grooming Center, Laundry and Storage room, PETTING ZOO, overnight guest/volunteer accomodations....)How EXCITING!!!! Coming hopefully by Fall.
NOTE: We do adopt out of state-BUT we DO NOT ship....sorry.
News
UPDATE- Thanks for the support. On 2/28 we did a very huge cruelty case investigation. It was one of the saddest in my years of animal rescue. Please say prayers for all the animals that did not survive and had a terrible, slow death. REPORT ANY SIGNS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The neighbors knew and ignored it in this case. A passer- by reported it.
Please Click here to see our links on how to help end Puppy Mills and Horse Slaughtering.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to help abandoned, neglected , and abused animals. Please see our website for more information. We are also the Animal Shelter on contract with the entire County of Richland via the Sheriff's Dept. We do not choose cute and fluffy-but strive for all dogs and animals to have the home and treatment they deserve. Many rescues choose to ignore the mills....WE OPT NOT TO!!!!!!! Many rescues CHOOSE who they want to RESCUE-we do not.
