Northside Pet Hospital is a veterinary hospital that treats small animals and exotics. We are not a shelter, but do take in surrendered, mistreated and stray animals and find them new homes. We often see animals that have medical problems which the client is unable to pay for the proper treatment . If the animals is potentially adoptable we take them in. Our staff donates our time and we treat the patients here. As soon as they are healthy they become adoptable.
If, at any time the animal does not work out in their new home, we will gladly take them back.
Adopting a friend
To adopt a pet from us we require that an adoption application be filled out similar to shelter applications. If a potential adoptor rents, we require permission from a landlord that pets are allowed. Previous veterinarians are contacted so we are able to tell if the previous/present pets are properly cared for. All pets are adopted with a neuter/spay agreement if they are not already altered.
Because we are a veterinary hospital, there are times when we have a lot of appointments, sick patients and surgeries going on, making it hard for us to commit a lot of time to potential adoptors. If it is possible to call in and schedule a showing so we can have staff available for you to ask questions and help introduce you to our animals. We also have Saturday hours available, but you may not get to see the pets right away, as Saturdays are busy days here at Northside.
